Extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. (Lack of English made some of this tricky but fun!!!). The room (and ensuite) were a good size and the bed was large and very comfortable. Breakfast was very tasty continental buffetstyle with plenty to choose from, including lots of local produce. Easy (free) carparking nearby means this was a great location to explore the island from. The town is NOT a touristy spot at all, just a chance to settle in and soak up the local atmosphere but with easy access to everywhere else. The hotel is next to a square, with a couple of small bars, which seemed to be a key spot for locals to gather-including dancing on a Friday evening!

A place like a fairy tale. Great environment of nature very boutique hotel. Staff very friendly and smiling. Special thanks to the facility manager Sarah who was very friendly and helpful. Amenities at the hotel such as pool, swings and food very neat and pleasant. Breakfast with local products and lunch in the restaurant very good. We rate the whole property 11/10 one of the best hotels we have been to.

- the swimming pools! The kids one is great for younger children and the larger one is huge and perfect for the whole family to enjoy.
-kikkoland (kids play area) is a large area with so many activities for the kids to enjoy. You can choose to drop your kid off there or stay and play with them. There is a bouncy castle, a mini soft play with slides and ball pit, playground, arts and crafts, giant building bricks and a special baby area with swings and toys for younger children. This area is hugely under-advertised and such a pro for families with young children.
- las basilicas restaurant was our favourite. We.have stayed at multiple family hotels now and this is definitely the best buffet. The fresh pasta and pizza every night was delicious..
- we hired a buggy for the whole week for 15 euros
- there was an onsite doctor. He came within 5 minutes of us calling him to see both our children who needed antibiotics.
- there is a handy tunnel for access to the beach
- evening entertainment. The most popular kids disco we have seen and some fun shows such as acrobats and magic bubbles.
- I also want to add the hotel must have taken into account the reviews that stated knives were kept in low down drawers. They had installed a knife rack up high in the kitchenette so my toddler just played with the recycling bins rather than the knives.
- not too noisy. Some family hotels have loud music playing all day. This wasn't the case. There was the odd loud aqua aerobics class but it wasn't long and the music was very fun.

We had an excellent stay at the Hotel Romandre. The hotel staff were incredibly kind to us. We felt at home but only better.
The hotel is located in the town of Alaior, which is fairly central on the island. The airport is only a 15-20 minute drive from the hotel. There are several beaches nearby as well as shops. On Wednesday afternoons there is a small market with local artisans.
I will choose this hotel again for my future trips to the island of Menorca. I highly recommend it.
super sweet very comfortable hotel right in the center of the walking section of Alaior. We were very tired from a long arduous flight from the states and welcomed the ultra comfortable bed and extremely quiet room. Joanna hand her husband were very kind and welcoming. We will always remember this special first night in beautiful Menorca
Wow what a wonderful hotel in an amazing setting. It felt very special to stay there. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Gardens beautiful and a pleasure to stroll around. Breakfast was very good, with freshly cooked choices. And to spend the day by the pool was a real treat. We will definitely be coming back.
The hotel is a little bit of paradise, quiet and tucked away in the countryside but only 10 mins away from Mahon. The gardens, property and whole environment are so tranquil and beautifully designed. But best of all is the service, it feels like you’re in a 5* hotel ran by a friend!
The room was clean and simple, the bed was very comfortable and the shower/bathroom was great. All the staff we met were delightful and helpful. I would definitely stay here again - and so lovely to finally have a small hotel in the town of Alaior!
Lovely accommodation and breakfast. It’s possible to get takeaway from Alaior and eat it on the outside patio to the dining area. Plates, cutlery and glasses all available including a fridge to store bought in food and wine.
The hotel was excellent. lovely location in the middle of town with a lovely cafe and bakery 60 seconds away.
The balcony was great, lively clean rooms and Joanna couldn’t be more helpful getting taxis etc.
