City box hotel chain is well known in Nordic area. I had stayed in Oslo too. I found location better than the other hotel I stayed in Old Town. It is a 15-minute pleasant walk to Old town, there is a good mall with good supermarket in the way to harbor and seaport. Public transport can be easily accessed. And there is a cool area nearby with nice restaurants and nice stores. Also there is a storage room which can be accessed even before or after you check-in/out from hotel with a magnetic card. Safe, clean and spacious.

The location of this hotel is perfect! Smack in the middle of everything a tourist could dream of. (We did come with a car, which isn't ideal given that the hotel is in a pedestrian zone, but we could drop off our luggage and then it was a short distance to the Solaris Parking Center. It took me some time to figure out the discount system there, but after having asked lots of staff people there I figured it out. :-))
But as good as the location is the historical atmospere of the hotel. We choose the hotel for this reason, and were impressed by everything that is preserved (furniture, artefacts, the lift, the glass work in the breakfast room etc). The wall papers are well chosen to go with the ambiance. Fantastic!

The room is very nice with a very big bath tub and a very nice bed. Our view was OK, to someone's backyard I guess. There was a coffee capsule machine which is one of the reasons we chose this room. The bathroom has a nice lighting feature - there's a window from the bathroom to the livingroom and at the top part of the window there's a lighting with changing colors, such fun! There are also slippers in the room which you can take home with you.

For a hotel so close to the old town (5 minutes walk through a tunnel) it has secure parking although for a reasonable 10 euros extra.
Very clean with a comfy room and pleasant helpful reception staff.
