Location was perfect and having a pool to jump in when it is so humid was awesome! The office was closed a little too early to be as helpful as I would prefer, but that was ok. The location was very walkable to the ferries, restaurants, tours, etc.

This place is an absolute work of art. I loved my stay here so much. The location is walking-distance to everything, and the art is amazing. I was mesmerized by the mosaic around the building, and the pool. I felt like this place was actually underpriced for how amazing it was. (Hotel staff - if you see this - I'd love to purchase some art if possible!)

Our room directly out across the bay. We were one floor up and easily watched the sunrise and the street and pier wake up - that includes sea lions. Bed was comfortable, shower strong water flow. Staff helpful and friendly. We’ll return!

Puerto Barquerizo Moreno is a great center of San Cristobal where you encounter sea lions on the beach along the main street. It is also full of charming restaurants, cafes and souvenir shops where prices are more reasonable than Santa Cruz.

I enjoyed walking in direction to Bahia Tijeretas, Playa Baquerizo, Playa La Loberia, Las Negritas view and also to the local mine near the airport. The evening / dinner in The Pier restaurant was excellent. The afternoon trip to El Junco volcano, Galapaguera de Cerro Colorado was not worth the money, although swimming near Playa Puerto Chino was nice.

I came for a volunteer trip during which we did the 360 boat...
I came for a volunteer trip during which we did the 360 boat tour (snorkeling in 3 locations) and a trip to the highlands together (2 separate days). I stayed 3 extra days alone, which is either not enough or just enough depending on what you want to do. I do NOT recommend staying the entire time on San Cristobal because you’ll run out of things to do but I found out too late that a day trip to Santa Cruz is better if you can dedicate 1.5-2 full days (depart a 7 am and return the next morning or afternoon). A same day trip only gives you about 7 hours before you have to return. To go to Isabela requires 2 separate boat trips and at least half a day (not sure about Española but it is currently closed). You can visit all the major beaches in 1-2 days but anything else on the island requires a booked boat trip so if you want to snorkel in every single spot you need to spend probably 5 days minimum. Snorkeling every single day isn’t for me so depending on your interests, plan accordingly.
Except for Playa Mann, most of the beaches are a little far and/or require a hike over lava rocks to access so bring good walking shoes over sandals if you have to pick.
Overall after 3 more days I was bored and ready to leave, but if I had more time to visit the other islands I would probably have felt differently!

The town is compact and convenient for travelers.
The town is compact and convenient for travelers. Only 10 minutes walk from the airport to downtown. Most of hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, beaches locate within a 10-15 minutes walk distance. Beaches are full of wild animals such as sea lions, pelicans, iguanas, crabs, and fishes. The climate is quite comfortable. Safe to walk even in night time.

It is a nice, peaceful city. People is friendly and helpful. Local authorities have a good Information Office that is ready to help you to get around. Restaurant Giuseppe is exceptionally good. Sea wolves will be found in every beach and giant Galapagos turtles can be seen in a nursery, designed for conservation. There are nice natural places reachable with a short walk. There are good places for diving and snorkeling.

I liked Playa Mann a lot.
I liked Playa Mann a lot. Very convenient and economical for lunch and coffee. Lots of sea lions which are tame! A great way to get around is to hire a bike......about 15 bucks per day. Great walks and sightseeing via El Centro de Interpretation. This is the starting point for some great beaches and snorkelling.

Comfortable quiet accommodations a couple blocks from the harbor. Your wishes will be cared for by a family, direct descendants of original sugar plantations. Really amazing how connected they are to the evolution of Cristobal and Galapagos. Walking distance from the airport which we did both directions. This is a true San Cristobal experience. We stayed 7 nights and wasn't happy leaving. My heart wanted to stay. Bed is comfortable, shower and bath very good.
The hotel was booked after another hotel I had booked had an issue and I left. I was really happy to find it and stay there. The room was actually a family room. 4 beds in one room. It was very clean and very close to the water, the pier and everything. It's a perfect location to everything you will need. Airport, shops, restaurants, agencies for tours. It's perfect. It's inexpensive and has everything anyone needs. Highly recommend it.
The owner and his sister were so personable and friendly and welcoming
we liked the feel of a very small boutique type hotel and we had a great little balcony overlooking the boats - water
Two hammocks and some chairs to relax on the porch -great AC
I thought the breakfast was one of the best I had the entire 24 days of our journey through Ecuador -everything was fresh and locally sourced and homemade
kudos to the kitchen and cooks
To begin with, the hotel was very conveniently located close to the airport and to restaurants and the harbor. Quiet and peaceful. Beautifully kept up as if it were truly loved by the staff and ownership. The room was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed coming back to the GEF each day. A little wonderland. Harry and his wife were wonderful hosts. Harry went above and beyond.breakfast was great with a fabulous view.
We loved our stay at Dolphin House! Christian and his family are so kind and helpful and want you to have a wonderful stay! They recommended restaurants, booked tours for us, and drove us to and from the airport. Great location, clean and reasonably priced. Hotel provides beach towels and top-notch snorkeling equipment for $5 for the whole stay. Rooms 9 and 10 have a great balcony. We would definitely stay here again!
The owner was there to personally check you in and give you advice. He was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was was extremely clean. We also liked the extensive tile work throughout the building, which was very artistic and unique. We liked all aspects of this hotel and highly recommend it for a stay in San Cristobal, Galapagos...
The breakfast was nice and the common areas of the hotel are (deceptively) modern and nicely designed. The location was close enough both to the ferry and the airport, as well as all the restaurants and cafes. The owner was kind, speaks good English and booked us a taxi tour of eastern San Cristóbal.
Perfect location. Close to the city centre but still quiet!
Friendly staff and they cleaned the room every day of the stay.
The roof terrace with a shared kitchen is great!
100% recommend!
Tips: The sweet lady in the local directly under the hotel has good fruit at good prices :)
Very nice hotel with large rooms and sea view. Close to a beach full of sea lions. Very friendly and helpfull owner who brought us to the ferry on the day of our departure. Price-quality by far the best hotel we had during our trip to Galapagos!
Fantastic location close to everything. Lovely breakfast each morning and friendly staff. Really uniquely decorated hotel with creative mosaic artworks. Very generous sized apartments also, so felt really spacious. Would definitely recommend.
Good location 5mins walk to downtown, reception is fancydesign, room is simple (looks different from photos) and clean. Breakfast is delicious, hotel owner is very helpful and speaks good English.
This hotel was a perfect place to land when coming into San Cristobal. It it close to the end of town that you can easily walk to Playa Mann or the downtown. Staff was great!
Breakfast was lovely and made to order. The hotel is beautifully landscaped with a sparkling pool which was a wonderful bonus. The family who runs the hotel is very nice :)
We had a great time staying at the hotel. The host was very kind, the breakfast was very good with an amazing panoramic view of the whole city. Highly recommend.
