Fantastic stay in a very quiet and peaceful location. The room I had was spacious, bright with hot water. TV with streaming services to chill out to after a busy day at the beach. There is a jacuzzi and a covered full kitchen in the garden for all to use and both were well kept and spotlessly clean. Robinson was a great help, thank you. Small walk out the back gate and you are on the beach FANTASTIC. Plenty of inexpensive restaurants 2 minute walk away. Transport towards Samana is regular and extremely well priced. For me I had the privacy and peaceful time that I was looking for. I would not hesitate rebooking a stay here in the future.

Unbelievable choices of breakfast (continental, tropical, vegan, etc.) are delivered directly to your personal patio at your requested time, making every morning a delightful experience.
The bungalows are masterpieces of sustainable architecture, crafted from clay, cobblestone, and abundant wood, artistically designed for your enjoyment.
Outside your personal space, you will find a small raft with oars amidst the relaxing sound of water, and your very own personal swimming pool surrounded by lush vegetation.
As a seasoned traveller who has visited hundreds of places, I must say, I have never encountered such a mesmerizing place in all my life.
My deepest gratitude goes to guapa Charlyne, kind Aurora, and master Chiara, the owners, for their everyday smiles, and politeness that truly made this experience unforgettable

Las Galeras was quieter than the last time we came.
Las Galeras was quieter than the last time we came. We had lunch and dinner at L'aventura de john and the good food is always there. we had our own vehicle, so it was easy to move around even if the main road is temporarily in bad shape due to some work. The best with our 3 teenagers was to spend the day at the beach

Si quiet and so quaint , restaurants are so family oriented the food and the area surrounding el pelicano is like living in a fairy tale, loved it , I’m definitely going back again on my next trip to the Dominican Republic
Beautiful (almost wild) beaches, amazing plants/ nature, tranquility, no crowd, great food. You'll find plenty of attractions: El Limon waterfall, horse riding, Boca del Diablo, el Ricon beach and lagoon, boat trips, real Dominican households, Rio Frio, marble mines and much more. What I would do better next time - I would avoid the east part of DR (Punta Cana, Boca Chica, La Romana, Santo Domingo etc) and hit directly to Samana.

Las Galeras can be a base camp for visiting a lot a wonderful beaches located near the place, like Fronton and Playa Madama, the ones we visited. As we didn't have more time, we couldn't visit other beaches that exist between Las Galeras and Playa Rincon. I recommend going there with enough time to explore. Do not Miss Restaurant El Cabito, where Tomeu will be able to enchant you with wonderful conversation and better food!

Due to the COVID -19 virus majority of shops and bars remained closed. Although the Dominican Republic has opened up for tourism this area financially appears to have been hit hard economically. Having been in this area many times before it was a shame to see the the situation for the local population who rely heavily on the tourist industry. Our stay was short but thoroughly enjoyable. getting to Las Galeras is fairly straight forward though entail a long car journey from the Capital. The roads are mainly good though if you have not driven in the DR before then it can be a bit daunting if you hire a car. Rules of the road don't really exist to an extent so be careful. There are plenty of sites to see some fabulous beaches and Rios, Sea fishing, horse back riding ATV tours, Zip lines and many other outdoor activities are available. Wherever possible i would advise shopping around for the best deal, if not a Spanish speaker get to know a local and tap into them for information they are more than willing to help for the cost of a few peso's

This is what the Caribbean probably looked like 40 years ago! Amazing nature, cocoa plantations, not so easy to get to beaches, get an RAV4 or similar, this will spare you the aggravation of not being able to get down a muddy road to an off the charts beach!!! Pan de Coco available by the side of the road, for the uninitiated, thats a flat round bread made with coconut water, instead of regular water...Superb snack, breakfast whatever...Drive, explore, hike, get out and see the place, you will not be disappointed.
this is a beautiful place in the sleepy town of Las Galeras. the bungalows are adorable and the rooms and their decor have character! the pool was nice, the garden had lovely flowers growing all around, and the chairs and swings were so fun and comfortable. the beach was a two minute walk away and so lovely! there were yummy restaurants just down the road less than 10 minutes walking.
the breakfast was delicious— so many options, and the breakfast area was adorable.
we loved it there and wish we could have stayed longer !
Hamidy was super nice from the very beginning. Very communicative and open to receive us at noon. The beach (El aserradero) is literally 5 mins from Hamidy's and it is a nice place with few to no people during most of the day and there are no waves. The place is clean and comfortable and Hamidy is always there to give you recommendations and help you to get food on delivery from Las Galeras town. He also prepares a breakfast for a fee ($10 pp) which is really delicious and the serving is totally worth it.
This accommodation was the best we had during our trip to Dominican Republic. Very spacious apartment, fully equipped kitchen, confortable bed. The balcony was great for having a drink in the evening. The host, Gabi, was very friendly and always ready to help. We really enjoyed the stay and if we visit Samaná peninsula again, we will choose this accommodation.
Miguel and his girlfriend were amazing, stay at this hotel was an absolute pleasure!
The room was clean, spacious, and equipped with everything I needed. The hotel's location was also great, as it was close to all the main attractions and restaurants in the area.
Beds in the dormitory are separated, giving you personal space and some privacy. Very good location near the main road and on the way to La PLayita beach.
Marina & Cristiano made me feel like home.
I loved Las Galeras, i stayed 5 nights instead of one!
the property is 50 meters from the beach with beautiful views and very quite. The staff was friendly and I felt safe at the property. This is one of my favorite places to stay while in the Dominican Republic. Thanks again for a wonderful experience!
We loved the location and loved the views from the room out across Las Galeras. The room was well located within walking distance of the town centre, restaurants and places to hire bikes, snorkels and everything else.
The fit and finish was of the best quality in the four hotels that we stayed in the DR so far. Everything worked well. The management and staff were excellent and were very accommodating of our needs.
The apartment was very clean, peaceful, and comfortable, the pool was amazing, the beach called playita which is my favorite is just 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel.
It was a truly unique place, a sea lovers’ paradise. The sunsets are extraordinary from his vantage point. A five-ten minute walk to La Playita Las Galeras.
By far the best spot in las galeras-Bed was VERY comfortable by dominican standards, location was perfect right on the beach, great breakfast in the mornings
Location was excellent. Amazing ocean views and quiet environment; all you need for a relaxing weekend. Close to the best beaches Las Galeras has to offer.
