Had some walks in the city centre inside the wall...
Had some walks in the city centre inside the wall surrounding the old town. Many nice old buildings. An impressive main gate, Elling Tor. Visiting the town in February the streets were quiet. I would imagine it is a popular destination for visitors during spring and summer.
There were some markets stalls with local produce in the market place on Saturday. On Sunday there was a bigger market with a larger variety of articles on sale.
We also traveled to the nearby renaissance fortress of Wülzburg. Well worth a visit, but information only in German. A very nice panoramic view of Weissenburg and the surrounding area.
