We actually had an apartment and it was wonderful. Close to public transport that got you to main train station and short trips to Freiburg & even Basel. View from balcony was magnificent. Breakfast was very good, they actually served you it was not buffet style. Restaurant on property was convenient for dinner & drinks without leaving. Plenty of free parking.

We didn’t make a dinner reservation for one of our evenings there and all of the other restaurants in the village were full. Zum was booked as well, but they found a way to fit us in.
