The location is at city center, there‘s a small river next to the hotel, so I can hear the lovely water stream from my room. The breakfast has a lot of option.

Torfhaus is surrounded by the Harz-area which is well-known for it's accessible hiking trails. It's very enjoyable to 'climb' the 1141 metres high Brocken or take a ride by steam train and enjoy the 360º-view.

Very nice reception employees. Beautiful location in the middle of the national park. Beautiful view of the Brocken mountain. Room was good, everything what you need is there, but small.

Nice hotel and perfect facilities (breakfast-buffet and Austrian-style restaurant) just next-door. The rooms are cosy, clean and comfortable however not very spacious. The hotel is surrounded by a scenic landscape and forms a perfect starting point for hiking. Breakfast is perfect and the staff is very friendly and welcoming.
I really liked the "close to nature" vibe of this hotel. The rooms are neat and cosy, the staff is kind and willing to help you with any matter that you might have.
