First class hotel, reasonably priced. Close to Munich.
Just a 10-minute walk from the scenic Lake Starnberg, this family-run hotel is centrally located in the historic town. It offers country-style accommodations, a large beer garden and a garden terrace....
Set directly opposite Hohenschäftlarn Sbahn Train Station, this 3-star countryside hotel offers a garden restaurant and traditionally decorated rooms with a flat-screen TV.

The restaurant is run by Italians and they also take care of the breakfast so the coffee in the morning was amazing!! Real cappuccino like in Italy, this is really rare in German Hotels.
In the evening we only had a drink at the restaurant but the staff was very friendly.
Maybe it was just good luck, but the mattress was neither too hard nor too soft.
This welcoming hotel is situated next to Icking S-Bahn (light rail) station, offering direct services to central Munich. Its rooms provide free WLAN and wonderful views of the Alps and Tölzer Land.

Everything was perfect, room, location staff. I only stayed one night to visit friends while in transit to another city but I wouldn't hesitate to book a room for a longer stay as well. I already had dinner plans elsewhere and couldn't eat at Hotel Klostermaier but the ambiance at their restaurant was nice and I would be surprised if it didn't live up to the same standards as the hotel itself.

I was really impressed regarding the whole structure, starting with the interior which I love being entirely in wood and finishing with the large parking area. Another important point for me a least is the size of the room - it is quite big and comfortable. The breakfast is very good.
The place is very quiet.
I want to remark the kindness of the personnel.
The elegant Landgasthof Aufkirchen offers comfortable rooms, a library, and a room with a fireplace in the town of Berg. The Munich conference grounds can be reached with a 45-minute drive.

You exceeded expectations, the price is amazing for the hotel, the amenities are excellent, the location is amazing the food is great, the town is great, the Bartender was a little gruff, might of just had a bad day but everyone else was great. The room was like a 5-star hotel for a 3-star price. The breakfast was also great although we didn't know about the assigned seating.
Located in the scenic Isar Valley, this 3-star hotel in the village of Ebenhausen offers nonsmoking rooms with free WiFi, varied breakfast buffets, and easy city rail connections to Munich.
Charming town on the lake with wonderful promenade.
Charming town on the lake with wonderful promenade. Good train service. Lots of (expensive) shops.
Wirtshaus is a great experience for Bavarian food.
La Bagnarota Ristorante (Italian) is very convenient, friendly with good food.
Avoid the Gallo Nero restaurant. Mediocre food and poor service.

Starnberg was a pleasant surprise.
Starnberg was a pleasant surprise. We took the ferry trip around the lake and this was a relaxing way to get a feel of the place. Lots of things to do - walking, swimming, boating, etc. could have stayed longer.

First time to Starnberg and only had a couple of days. This is a place where you easily spend a week or more. There is so much a person could do outdoors - walking, swimming, water sports, cycling, etc. I would cerainly like to come back.

Nice little town on the north side of Starnberger see.
Nice little town on the north side of Starnberger see. We rented bikes in Starnberg and biked around the lake. Also rented a small electric boat and went around the lake for couple of hours. I recommend both of those activities.
We liked the warm welcome, friendly, accommodating staff who went above and beyond their role to help guests and to make sure they had a good holiday. The breakfast was varied and of a good quality. We always love hotels that cook eggs to order! We also loved our room at the front of the hotel as we were overlooking the lake. It may have been noisier than rooms at the back of the hotel but we slept very well regardless! We would have liked to have stayed longer
This is a very charming hotel, with very pleasant staff. The reception is only staffed until 5 pm. We were due to arrive late and the receptionist went out of her way to make sure that we were able to get in and find our keys. Breakfast was very good. The location was good for us as we arrived from Munich by train and it was only about 5-6 minutes walk from the station. It is relatively central and good for access to the lake shore.
This is a very well run hotel. Everything and everyone was wonderful. The staff are so friendly and so helpful.
The rooms are very comfortable and clean and has everything you need.
I decided to stay for dinner instead of going out in the heavy rain at the time and I am so glad I did. Highly recommended!
And make sure you stay for breakfast. Wonderful! So much choice and very well cooked and prepared.
Can’t wait to return…
Very helpful at the front desk. I was arriving a bit late and they had already texted me to tell me how to get access to my key, but I still arrived in time before reception closed. Great Indian restaurant about 4 minutes away on foot and the Starnberg train station it literally right across the street, perfect for taking the train into Munich the next day. Beautiful lake view.
This is a classic lakeside resort hotel located just across the street from Starnberger See (Lake Starnberg). It was a bit rustic; but that was to be expected given the hotel's vintage. The room was very clean and the staff were friendly and accommodating. If traveling to Starnberg and you want access to the lake, this is a very nice hotel in the heart of the village.
We rented this apartment to stay at while attending Oktoberfest 2023. It is in a perfect location, close to the Starnberg Nord train station, an easy 5 minute walk. We felt safe there and it was a quiet location. The apartment met all of our basic needs of shower, toilet, beds, and basic kitchen. We found the owner, Thomas, to be responsive, friendly and helpful.
Great small hotel in Starnberg, close to the lake. Close to S6 train station with easy direct travel into Munich for sightseeing. Wonderful buffet continental breakfast. Clean and comfortable rooms. Quiet location. Friendly and helpful staff.
Service was exceptional and so friendly! The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Just 10-15 mins walk and you're right at the Starnberger Lake. The spa area is small than expected but well equipped with towels, robes and water.
The breakfast is always exceptional! But the most important "plus" is the customer service. Every person who works in the hotel is justifiably proud of it, and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you to the excellent staff!
Staff was very friendly. It was clean and convenient for where we had to be early the next day. Restaurant in the hotel made dinner plans easy! Breakfast in the morning was simple but nice.
Pleasant property, nicely maintained, very friendly and efficient staff, good location, good breakfast. In the hotel is an excellent Italian restaurant, separately run .
Conveniently located with an easy walk to Starnberg lake and a diverse variety of restaurants and services. Very easy to get to Neuschwanstein and Oberammergau.
The room is very nice and clean. Hotel is near the lake and train station which is very comfortable. Everything is perfect and I am very glad to stay here.
