The guest house was on the edge of a forest area. It was super cute and quaint. The staff was super friendly and helpful with finding where we wanted to go. I felt like I was sleeping in a fairy tale house.
This hotel overlooks the spa resort of Seiffen, and features its own spa area. The Berghotel offers free Wi-Fi and beautiful panoramic views of the Erzgebirge Nature Park.

Friendly welcome. In the heart of Seiffen. I did not know that Seiffen is a centre for the manufacture of wooden toys, Christmas ornaments and other wooden art items. A Mecca for lovers of wood art. Spielzeughof is an ideal location if you are visiting. Sumptuous breakfast. I recommend also the Holz wurm for an evening meal.

We really enjoyed visiting the toy and the open air museum and the octagonal church where the pastor gave a talk about Seiffen‘s history. We ate at the hotel and the restaurant Holzwurm. Getting in & out of Seiffen is adventurous, since buses do not run often, but on time!

There were designated parking areas which were 10 Euro for the day. There is a fair amount of walking up and down hills. There are may different stores full of traditional Germany wooden Christmas items. The city is cute and the people working in the shops vary from super nice, to pretty unhelpful.
There was a woman who has a lace making store, Seifferer Kloeppeleck feine Holzhunst, where she took time to show my husband and myself how she handmade many beautiful items. Also, We found the best prices for nice quality pieces at Glueck Auf Haus. Both stores are on Jahnstrasse.

We stopped in Seiffen on our way to another location.
We stopped in Seiffen on our way to another location. Seiffen is about an hour outside of Dresden and the roads are narrow and curvy. I recommend a small vehicle, if possible, for the drive. In the winter time you will want to get there before dark. Seiffen is the Nutcracker and Wood Smoker location for anyone in search of local, hand made Christmas decor. A two full day is plenty in the winter time.
Very friendly staff, showing clearly the aim to offer a pleasant stay. Room was freshly renovated! Location of the hotel an the road to Neuhausen was ideal for my travel purpose, although some might find it to far outside of the village. Surprisingly quiet although my room was roadside. Surprisingly good Internet connection (I followed a web conference with about 50 participants from my room without troubles).
This was my second visit in the last 18 months and you can't fault this exceptional property.
I has a very warm and friendly atmosphere and staff.
The breakfast is the best you could ask for and the lady who services the breakfast bar is well on top of her job.
The hotel is perfectly placed in the town , no need to use your car everything is within easy walking distance.
Fantastic hotel
When we visit the Erzgebirge region we usually stay in another gasthaus, but it was closed. So we made a one night reservation at this one and decided to stay a 2nd night. The room was clean and the hotel had cute displays of local wood figurines and toys. Breakfast was good and dinner was excellent! Internet worked great. Also nice to have close up parking and elevator.
The hotel is beautiful, clean, and well maintained. The room and bathroom were both good sized and very clean, super comfy bed. Great location for shopping in downtown Seiffen. Staff was very nice and helpful with everything. Nice to have a restaurant in the hotel, dinner and breakfast were both buffet style with lots of options.

The location was perfect for exploring Seiffen with convenient parking. The staff provided extra service by washing our laundry which was a big help on a month long trip.
Breakfast was very good and bountiful.
The hotel is connected to a gift shop which gave us a 10% discount. Extra fun.
Such a beautiful apartment! The decor is very lodge-like, so fitting of the setting. It is a 5-10 minute walk to the center of Seiffen (longer through the snow!). It would be easy to spend a week here skiing in the winter, hiking in summer, and enjoying the beautiful views year-round.
Breakfast room was pleasant and the food was good and plentiful. The location of the hotel is central to all of Seiffen, and the hotel's restaurant, where we ate dinner twice, had a large and varied menu, and a pleasant wait staff.
The hotel was in a convenient location to the village of Seiffen. The woman who ran the hotel, was extremely friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was substantial and again, the owner was eager to please her guests.
A very cosy hotel in the middle of a beautiful area for hiking and indulging in hand crafted christmas decorations.
A fantastic restaurant and extremely helpful staff.
Comfortable beds and a great shower
