The staff was so sincere that it almost felt like we were staying over at the home of our family friends. The Mosers are lovely people, and they've turned this beautiful hotel into a relaxing and warming experience. This is a lovely hotel with a splendid 360-degree scenic view of the surrounding forests and villages. The breakfast was more than adequate, and the staff was always smiling and attentive. The heated outdoor pool offers detachment from the weather conditions, and the wellness area adds to it with peace of mind it provides. I definitely recommend it to anyone who's planning on enjoying a trip to Schwarzwald.

Our stay at Hotel Munde Restaurant Biereck was delightful. The location is fantastic, offering stunning views and easy access to numerous hiking trails and bike paths, perfect for a family of four. The restaurant is excellent; we dined there every evening, enjoying the diverse, high-quality food and friendly staff. Breakfast was equally impressive.

This is a wonderful place to stay. The owners have found a way to run a professional guest house and still make it a welcoming “human” place to stay.
My room was larger than expected – for a single room, it was massive. The shower was excellent. The room is quiet, and the Wifi is strong. The staff (it is a family-run guest house) are welcoming and suffered my terrible German with a smile.
The food—oh, the food. The Chef (the husband) loves his work. Try the schnitzel; I don’t think it will taste better.

Schuttertal - in particular Schweighausen - is excellent for walking in plain nature. A large number of trails are well marked and there are six theme based trails in Schuttertal and it's villages. Some of these trails are also suitable for mountain biking (not needing acrobatic experience).
Along the trails there are several restaurants, but check which days of the week they are closed.
Due to its small size Schuttertal does not participate in the KONUS system (free public transportation for guests), however ask for a guest card and you may get discounts on attractions in the wide vicinity.
