For us it was the trip, a family reunion and a funeral and memorial for an uncle a trip into the past. Spent many childhood summers and winters here, when my grandparents lived lakeside here. If you like Bavaria and are active, hiking, skiing, swimming, sailing, mountain biking, etc this is a great area. It is also a bit of the Hamptons of Munich, so pricey.

This place is best for cycling and walking in the mountains.
This place is best for cycling and walking in the mountains. It's quite easy to get around on foot, there are lots of hotels, clothes shops and supermarkets, but there aren't too many places to eat and no proper embankment to enjoy the lake.

Everything was ok til the dinner.
Everything was ok til the dinner. Me and the princess of my heart wanted to.go out to take the dinner at 22. What a disgrace that , for our surprised anything was open. I mean, anything. Nobody cook from 21 30 in this lovely place. If we are hungry... where do we can eat? And also the waitress from.restaurant like "Dolce vita" and "Monte Lago" were so unfriendly, no professional and arrogant. So folk... if u go.to.rottach... make sure that .... although you don starving are... you have to eat the dinner like the german people say... "before the chicken. Before the dark"
The fresh bread rolls for breakfast, and the variety of spreads and meat were a highlight.
The location where, just in the 10 minutes between town centre and hotel, felt like two different worlds.
The place was very clean, and the room was serviced while we ate breakfast. The timing of breakfast was very friendly too - we never set an alarm to wake up for it.
A family-running hotel which is just perfect. I would say that the whole place has a unique ID in terms of the style and the decoration. The indoor pool and the sauna helped us to relax and spend time with the children.
Breakfast is also amazing. The people prepared coffee and fried eggs along with the rich buffet with the handmade marmalade.
We had a very enjoyable 4 days at Haus Kaiser. Our room was spacious and clean. The nice lady running the hotel does not speak English but we were able get translation from a lovely girl at the deli downstairs. It's a bonus to have the deli/coffee shop attached to the hotel.
We chose suite because at the time of our booking there were practically no hotels room available in Rottach Egern or Tegernsee. Suite is well decorated and comfortable. Wine and roses were waiting for us). The breakfast was excellent and hosts delicate and friendly.
It's a really Nice propety, everything is new and work very good. The owners were so Nice helping us i'm everything we needed. The room had the most confortable beds and duvets I have had in a hotel. Very close to the place where we started the hike
Beautifully cared for, comfortable and welcoming small hotel. The rooms were very well appointed and large. The amenities were well above standard and breakfast was very good. The staff was friendly.
It was a very spacious, well designed apartment with an unbeatable location in the heart of Rottach-Egern. Highly recommended if you need more space with the family. also has a great kitchenette.
Everything was beautiful about this hotel. The people, the food the accommodations, everything. It's not a grand hotel but rather a cute little place to stay while exploring this beautiful town.
amazingly friendly and attentive staff. the hotel is really cozy and the mattress was extremely comfortable. as it was only a one night stay we weren’t able to use all the facilities.
Excellent and very attentive service. When something did not go perfectly like delays around the breakfast the hotel improved the process and came up with good solutions.
The hotel staff was very friendly and very helpful!! The hotel was a short distance to the lake and into town. The room and the bathroom were very nice and spacious.
