The location was really close to Arena where I needed to be most of the day. So is the center of the town and stores too. There are restaurants in the vicinity too.
I disliked the fact that the stairs to the upper floor where my room was, are really steep and i managed to hit my head more than once on my way up, since there is a concrete block that will be in your way above you. The room was small but for a few day it was ok. On first glance the bed looked terrible but made me change my mind after the first night of really good sleep.
You won't like it if you are a light sleeper - the room doors don't offer any sound isolation from the noises of people walking on the corridor.
There is a nice closed yard where you can safely park your bike over night.
Realy liked the fact that there is a fridge in the common room where you can get a drink (really cheaply) even in the middle of the night. They trust you to pay it in the "piggy bank" :)

There is little to admire on this city. The older part is not extremely old and it is small; we walked to the big Trinity church and back. You can dine very well here (we tried the Pane Vino Italian restaurant). Outside the tiny center you see industry and ugly communist housing blocks. But Riesa may be a useful stop on the Elbe bike tour, and also a good end point, with train connections to Dresden, Leipzig and other directions.
Just the kind of place you want to find at the end of the day. Located it in Riesa Zentrum within walking distance of anything you might want. Honesty frig with a variety of cold drinks and chocolate if that's what you fancy. We just loved the informality of the pension and the generosity of the owners who provided things you might need or want.
Very nice and cute hotel, the room was small, but clean and cozy, comfortable bed, nice terrace. The food in the restaurant was really tasty. All in
all I had a really nice stay.
