Beautiful room, it looks like newly renovated. Comfortable bed. Towels smell nice and not like harsh cleaning products. Friendly staff. One of the best breakfast I've had in Germany with good variety, a lot of what is offered is sourced locally, so there are a lot of homemade options, like jam, honey, yogurt... there was even fesh and quality fruits available!

This hotel is truly a wonderful place to spend a night or a week . The family owned facility is just perfect . Along the bicycle trail with great secure inside parking for the bicycles. The staff is really friendly and very helpful . There are two Chefs - one is Michael and the other’s name is ?? . Both are not only very good cooks but are excellent conversationalists and full of all kinds of historic information .
The room was superb - we stayed in room #2 . All kinds of special decor and great yellow duvets. Bathroom was exceptionally clean and had toiletries.
The food at the on-site restaurant was wonderful . A eclectic menu with Ukrainian Soups , German , Italian choices plus others . Price point was reasonable. The breakfast was also quite good .
Met the owners the next morning and could tell that they had great pride in their hotel and wanted very much to please their hotel guests .

The rooms are charming, the decor is authentic in this beautifully restored villa. Excellent breakfast with many choices and imaginative options. We immediately felt at home after being greeted by the friendly staff.
Hotel Villa Altenburg will stay in my memory forever. Everything was fantastic, I could rest very well after work. The hotel crew was more than brilliant. They were always smiled all the time. What can I say I highly recommend this hotel to every ppls who have plans to visit Pößneck, doesn't matter if for business or private purposes.
This place is a piece of art. Tastefully furnished and decorated. The restaurant serves amazing food. Lovely park which is very well maintained. The staff is friendly. We immediately felt at home. And I say this as someone who usually hates hotels.
