Very friendly and helpful staff, clean room and facilities. All the little things you appreciate in a hotel (tissues, coffee maker, water). Very comfortable beds.
But best of all: the best make-up mirror EVER!!! In the right place to get light, adjustable height, and light on the mirror!!! Someone actually took into consideration that women might stay at their place. Really appreciated that!!!

Best location in the old town Our hotel is surrounded by a peaceful atmosphere - directly on the southern bank of the river next to the castle park with no road in between.

‘The City of Three Rivers’
Known as the City of Three Rivers, Passau is a beautiful German town in Lower Bavaria crossed by the Danube, Ilz and Inn rivers. Situated near the Austrian border, this university city is home to the biggest cathedral organ in the world with 17,774 pipes and 233 registers.
Built in 1688 by the Italian architect Carlo Lurago, the Baroque St. Stephen's Cathedral has frescoes and paintings by JM Rottmayr. Featuring classic European architecture, the historic Old Town of Passau has small cobbled alleys with picturesque Bavarian cafes and restaurants, as well as a Neo-Gothic tower. You can enjoy a cruise on the Danube River or wonder around the medieval houses that are modified into galleries.
Set between the Danube and Ilz, the 13th-century Castle of Passau was the bishops’ residence for several centuries. Travellers can visit the fortress of Oberhaus and discover interesting museums with potteries, sculptures and paintings.

Passau is a beautiful town where the Donau River joins the other two rivers. It is also the starting point for many Donay cruises. Walking around the town, visiting the Castle, or just strolling around the river walks was an amazingly relaxing experience. We arrived and departed by train, and the station is 10 minutes walking from the city center. It was the place where our river cruise started and ended, and we chose to prolong our stay in town for two nights. We recommend dining early since most of the restaurants will close. For lunch everything is open, but finding a restaurant for dinner might be a struggle. I recommend the restaurant at StadHotel Passau, it is open from breakfast to dinner and they serve typical Bavarian food.

Amazing. Great. Unbelievable. Great evening/night life. Many restaurants outside in beautiful streets. Some streets are so tiny that it is scary to walk them but I loved it. The meeting of the rivers is beautiful. Also I recommend taking a boat trip to
Linz(5hrs).

Passau has an enviable location at the confluence of three rivers. Most of the public architecture is baroque or rococo. The old town has a good vibe, helped by the presence of tourists and students from the local university. It’s a great place to stroll, with several excursion possibilities.

I have always wanted to see Passau.
I have always wanted to see Passau. We stayed there for three days. I woudl reccomend to climb up Mariahilf for a beautiful view of the old town. It is a perfect place for taking photoes. We had excellent white sausages inthe pub just across the street. Thank to the location of Helen's flat, we had all the main sights within 30 minutes, apart from West Oberhaus and the Mariahilf, of course.
The room was one of the smallest hotel rooms I’ve ever been in, two single beds, a desk and the washroom. It’s up over top of a supermarket; my room looked out over the parking lot lot which was quite loud, but when I shut the window it cut the noise down substantially. The room was clean. The staff were fine. There was a lockable room in the garage for the bicycles. It’s way up the hill on the edge of the city, so it would be relatively convenient if you had a car, but for cyclists less convenient.
Hotel well located in an ancient building near the river in an old quarter of Passau, walking distance from cafes, restaurants and shops. Very close to the pick-up point for the bikes we rented for the Danube bike trip. Check in was fine with a friendly receptionist. The room was pleasant and comfortable if a little cramped. We did not get the breakfast so are unable to comment on that.
Always when we go to Passau we stay at the same hotel. This time we had a couple of friends visiting and they could come without a problem, of course with the warning that they can't stay overnight which is only natural. The site of the room was great and the bathtub is very cool and the hotel is 5-10 minutes away from the old town (walking distance). I would definitely recommend it.
Good spacious room and ours had a large balcony which was really nice to sit out in the evening the location is a little out of town ( Passau) but that suited us because we were leaving our car for a week whilst cycling the R Danube. The hotel is 10 minutes to the cycle trail downhill ( longer on return !)
The hotel is situated right next to the Danube. We were there because we were going on a Viking Cruise the next day. After checking in we saw our ship pass by in front of the hotel. Next door we found an excellent German Restaurant. We were totally pleased and highly recommend this hotel.
I honestly liked everything about the hotel. Location, the fact that is by the river, very well designed. Room was very large, warm and clean. Bed was extremely comfortable. I would definitely stay there again in my next visit in Passau. Definitely, good value for money.
Didnt eat at the hotel as we generally do’t have big breakfasts…everything about the hotel was fantastic, great staff, location and very quiet, comfortable beds, pillows, temperature! And loved having our own kettle in the room. We will highly recommend you!! Thank you!
Nice hotel, totally refurbished, very clean and safe. Good parking, free of charge, the room Nr. 15 was refurbished as well; the building looks like a little chalet in the Montains.
The food was nice, the price ok. as well.
Kindly staff!
The staff was excellent, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The room was spacious, with a electric outlet on each side of the bed. The hotel is well located in Passau, in pedestrian area, with lots of shops and restaurants.
Vegan, lactose free and gluten free options available for breakfast.
Bike shed in the garage for our bikes
Easy check in and check out
Close to Passau city centre
Nice groovy jazz music in the reception area
It's a small 6 room hotel, with attention to detail in the room, wine Nespresso etc. all included. Staff replied to emails almost instantly and were available to help at all times.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Small local hotel just out of town but accessible by buses 3 and 4. The reception helped me with my laundry without charge. Do kind.
Exceptional stay in Passau! Impeccably clean and well-equipped flat, making my visit truly enjoyable. Highly recommend for a comfortable and hassle-free experience.
