We loved the barrel house! Great fun to be in and cosy. Toilet and shower facilities are very close by just 10 steps away. A quiet location being out in the country. The host was very hospitable and welcoming, very interesting to talk to. The breakfast was exceptional, great variety and the best one todate. The only hotel in the area that we could find that with the option for late check-in: a life-saver after traveling all day and taking the ferry from Rodby to Puttgarden late at night. But it was a wonderful hotel too (beautiful thatched roof and deliciously comfortable room!) The manager also generously got up extra early to make sure we had some breakfast (which was excellent) before our early start. Wonderful place, so handy to know about, and if we weren't on a long and rushed journey, we would have loved to stay longer.

We stayed here during a trip from Sweden to continental Europe. This hotel was nicely situated close to Oldenburg. Clean, friendly staff. No stairs to climb, room with a lawn outside where we had a glass of wine in the evening.
Nice clean location, parking was free on the street in front of the hotel on the weekend. Breakfast was excellent and the staff created a nice atmosphere.
