Spent a week in May 2023. Apartment was beautiful, big, clean and modern. Excellent quiet balcony to sit on in the evening overlooking the Schwarzwald Hills. Received a pass from the owner for free public transport and free access to the Oberkirch communal swimming pool (which is very close by and excellent to both relax and for the kids to play for hours). Walking routes are straight out of the front of property into the farmers fruit- and vineyards into the forest. Oberkirch offers all the shops and restaurants needed. As can be seen.....we loved it and we will be returning. Many thanks!

Very nice place, better to live out of the city, closer to nature. The city is very clean and beautiful, it has a rich culture, a lot of restaurants, even a vegan one.
Around the town you have the Blackforest, a lot of wineries, where you can try and buy local wines and liqueurs, local fruits. You would probably want to walk a lot in the woods as well as take a bus or train and discover other villages and towns around. Then enjoy those amazing sunsets with a glass of wine. We spent a week there and would return for 10-14 days next time.

Oberkirch is a pretty town on the edge of the Black Forest.
Oberkirch is a pretty town on the edge of the Black Forest. It makes an excellent place for a one or two night break on a longer journey. Do visit Renner’s Wine Shop. The local wines are very good and very reasonably priced. There are plenty of good eating places on the Main Street. The castle is interesting, but rather a climb to reach. There are seasonal strawberry and wine festivals.
Nicely renovated hotel with really good comfortable standard. Despite a very hot day the room remained pretty cool even though there was no air conditioning. Small yet delicious breakfast buffet with outside seating area. Good location to leave for hikes in the area.
The restaurant garden is very inviting with beautiful big trees and flowers. The menu selection makes it really difficult to make a choice since all sounds very yummy. The food was very tasty, the staff friendly.
This place is so perfect! The hotel is traditional where it should be and updated comfort where you want it. Our family suite was ENORMOUS, and I'd wish we had booked it for multiple days.
The breakfast was excellent and an incredible value. The nearby town of Oberkirche was fun. And the host's recommendation for dinner was spot on. We highly recommend.
This was a very lovely, family fun hotel that we enjoyed so much. The room was spacious and perfect for our family with three small kids. They enjoyed time in the pool and especially like the bowling lane. We had a delicious breakfast and the meal we had for dinner at the restaurant connected to the hotel was really wonderful. We hope to visit again!
Veru spacious and comfortable flat with a heavenly terrace. Perfect if you have kids, as they have so many toys indoors and outdoors. Very close to vineyard hiking trails and cute town of Oberkirch. You can also buy local produce such as wine and apple juice from the hosts, and the quality and the price are so good
Beautiful hotel.
Very clean room with a fabulous huge communal balcony outstanding views across the mountains.

Evening meal & beers watching the sunset was just perfect!!
Ample parking for motobikes we would definitely recommend.
We received a very friendly welcome by frau Cipolla. It was a very spacious and clean house with sufficient privacy, and our dogs were welcome! Very short walk to the centre of Oberkirch (with bakeries!) and very close to a small green park. We very much enjoyed our stay!
The hotel room was extremely nice and really clean. The size of the room was very really good and the renovations were awesome. The bed was very comfortable and I love the bathroom. Everyone that worked at the hotel and restaurant were really nice and helpful.

The restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was good.
The room was spacious and clean. Unfortunately, we were there during an unexpected heatwave.
Picturesque setting. Many hiking paths pass by the hotel.
The Hotel was very quiet, very clean and easy to find. Parking right outside, free. The staff were really helpful and very friendly. The room was comfortable and clean, with a great shower room. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice, hot and cols stuff.
If you want to go back in time I highly recommend this hotel, it looks like an old inn, but with all the facilities of contemporary life. The stuff was very friendly and the breakfast was more than enough. Will definitely check in again.
