The part I stayed in had no public facilities like Shops. The hotel itself did not have any refreshments on sale, so there wasnt much to do. I wouldnt recommend it for someone who is on holiday. Lucky for us we spent the entire day out in the big town of Dusseldorf.
The fortress like building gives a stay there a special touch. The room was amazing and the bed probably one of my best hotel beds ever! The location is nice and even though it is not directly in Düsseldorf we could easily reach it by public transport.
The outdoor Spa area is really nice with the lake and 2 small but modern saunas.
Located in a nice building. Clean rooms with all necessary facilities, no complaints there. All rooms are decorated a bit differently and have their own identity. Self serve breakfast included. Mettmann was in walking distance. Düsseldorf and Wuppertal were a 20 minute drive. Worth the low price.

Kind hosts with a very complete spacious private apartment with free parking, own entrance, a big covered terrace, and a huge dog-friendly green garden attached.
Parking is for free and direktly in front of the hotel. All of the hotel staff were very friendly. I got a quiet room when asking for it. The bed was very comfortable. WiFi was quick and always available. The breakfast was great. Shops were located nearby.
Spacious, spotless, perfect order, strong showers, well equipped kitchen and apartment. Smart TV and wifi. 7 minutes to gorgeous Mettmann old town and large Rewe supermarket and direct train and bus connections to Düsseldorf Central Train Station.
A cheap well located hotel in the centre of this small town, good breakfast. Does exactly what you need for the odd night for business or if you need a place to stay for personal travel for a night or two.
rooms are very clean and some bathrooms have a bathtub, which was pleasant. Breakfast was excellent. And restaurant highly recommend. Will be staying in this hotel again, when we back in Dusseldorf.

Well, the people was very nice and helpful. However the price for the hotel in relation to the offer (old bathroom), unconfortable beds and carparks difficulties is unacceptable.
