The location was excellent. It was a ten-minute walk straight down the street to the hotel, which is sitting right next to the Porta Nigra (one of the most important sites in Trier). It is also at the beginning of the pedestrian zone. Perfect for someone arriving by train, but they also have free parking if you come by car. The breakfast was also excellent with lots of options, and there is no problem getting gluten-free options. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. Great value.

The location was great -- Very close to the Thermal baths & maybe a two mile walk to the Porta Nigra. Staff was so friendly. We used the free bikes one day to get around and they made everything more convenient.

Amazing view for breakfast. Breakfast was also very good. I was amazed at how well the lady at the front was able to keep up with the quest coming and going in addition to keeping the breakfast stock and the coffee hot. Overall, simply amazing. SO MUCH BETTER THEN THE BIG CHAINS.

Mainly the wine mountains in the area is the attractions, and of course visit to various wineyards for wine tasting, and to taste some good solid German kitchen. Great place for longer walks in the Wineyards, and close to many of famous wine areas.
What a lovely place. Vineyards, gardens, a small waterfall, charming buildings. What more do you want? The room is good, everything works, big enough, good bed. This place is close to the wonderful Mosel and the charming city of Trier. The restaurant is also fine, pleasant atmosphere, good food. The opening times are not what it says on TripAdvisor and other sources. When we visited the restaurant was open from 6 to 9 p.m. I advise you call them if you intend to eat in the hotel. You can buy excellent wines on location.
We had stayed earlier at KarlsMuehle Hotel and Wein, and enjoyed our stay this time as well. The staff is very friendly, the food good and large plates, and their wines - mainly Riesling are excellent and very competitively priced. Good place for walking in the Vineyards, and only 10-15 min to center of Trier (Germany's oldest and most Roman city). Easy access to other good wine locations not only Kasel on the river Ruwer, but also Bernkastle-Keus and the Saar river region, where we love the Bockstein wines.
Excellent location, hotel is being renovated and continues to be a hotel I enjoy staying at - great food and wine on offer - it's always a great stay.
I dont know if it's general that hotel prices are going up in Europe hence my score for value for money - but a little bit pricey - once renovated then the price would be palatable.
The hotel had live music on one of the nights staying - which was enjoyable and a lot of locals turned up for the evening which was great.
It is so cosy and love the vineyards. Great place for walks. The bonus is the wellness area free of charge. Rooms are so clean and staff is amazing. I am so in love with this hotel and will be back with my friends for girls weekend.
Beautiful hotel in a water nature reserve/vineyard. Very comfortable and clean room with garden, we stayed on the quite side. Great plentiful breakfast. Lovely restaurant with reasonably priced meals.
