It is a family owned property and I simply loved it!
I enjoyed the proximity to both Zurich, just a 20-minute drive away, and the Black Forest, which was only a 5-minute drive. It offers excellent value for money, especially when comparing accommodation prices in Germany to those in Switzerland.

We really enjoyed our stay in Brutsches Rebstock on our Rhine cycle trip. The hotel staff where welcoming and helpful. Our room was excellent with a balcony to relax on, overlooking the Rhine. Dinner was very good, one of the best pepper steaks I have had for a long time. Breakfast was also excellent. Bike storage was a short walk away in a secure locked underground garage. A thoroughly relaxing stay in a charming hotel with great views of the Rhine, didn’t want to leave.
A nice quiet hotel in the very centre of the old town on the German side of Laufenburg. Amazing view of the Rhine river!! A comfortable room with an exceptionally clean bathroom. Small nice details like an electric kettle, tea bags and a complimentary bottle of water. Friendly staff and nice breakfast. The dining room has a wonderful view of the Rhine, I recommend having breakfast on the terrace if it's warm enough. A very good value for money. I definitely recommend it.
The room was comfortable with a lovely view of the Biergarten and the Rhein. Shower / bathroom were good, beds firm. We were a little worried about mosquitoes but the windows were all screened and we had no "nighttime visitors" Breakfast was good. The Greek Restaurant / Biergarten served excellent food and the staff was very friendly. The hotel is not far from the train station although a bit of a challenge with roll-along hand luggage.
Our family overnight stay was very good, the food at the out door restaurant was excellent as was he breakfast the following morning in the hotel.
Room was clean and comfortable and parking for our large vehicle was accommodated on site with a lock up for our bicycles.
All together a pleasant experience.
The location is splendid. We had a room with a view over the Rhein, opposite from the historic facades on the Swiss side of Laufenburg, and only a minute's walk from the riverside, where you can walk in both directions along the river and enjoy the views. Really a lovely place to spend a night!
The location is spectacular, though much more impressive is the staff at this traditional historic hotel. Fabulous kitchen, great breakfast, booking a spot at the nearby public parking was arranged quickly.
