The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in quite a remote location so with this in mind, they do make the hotel very comfortable and there are some very nice little touches which make it feel very homely. The rooms are quite basic but they are very comfortable and clean so no problems there. The breakfast is very good which again, given the remote location is very helpful.
This hotel is ideally located in the town of Lahr, between the Rhine river and the Black Forest. Here in Lahr the hotel has had a hospitable tradition for almost two centuries.

nice place all what you need,huge balcony and hosts willing to help with everything, wifi fast all clean.
The area is a hikers dream…. Castles, forest, paths for bikes and walks. Restaurants are Black Forest gems. The people are extremely friendly.
You ( with a car) are near other beautiful villages… each offering different lovely reasons for going.

Lahr is right on the edge of the Black Forest or "Schwartzwald" The country there is so beautiful Many little valleys with many Gastoffs to choose from . Wine is reasonable to purchase in the ALDI store or in the gastoffs. Variety of foods IE Greek, Asian, German, French.

Surprisingly quaint little town with interesting history of wealth and industrial growth which left behind some very beautiful buildings. Great hopping off point for either Strasbourg or the Schwarzwald.

Cute small town.
Cute small town. Not a whole lot to do but with a car it's easy to get around and see castles and go to little bigger cities and see things.
No real nightlife and most things are closed by 20:00.

Main reason for visiting Lahr is that my daughter is here...
Main reason for visiting Lahr is that my daughter is here teaching for a couple years and visiting her. We had easy access to bus and trains for day trips while here! So much more we could have done. Wish it were longer.
Hiked a few mountains with friends of my daughter. 3 hour train took us down to the border of Switzerland/Germany to Konstanz and a small island with a beautiful gardens tour. Also rented a car in Bavaria and hiked in national parks with great Mountain View’s and castles. Love the food everywhere!
The hotel is a beautiful building set in a beautiful location. The room was a generous size, nicely decorated and nice bathroom facilities. The staff were extremely nice and the owner even reduced my fee as I had booked a double room, but I was travelling alone, so she charged me as a single guest, rather than two guests. I didn't expect this as I am used to paying for two people, even when I stay alone. There's also a very friendly ginger cat - which was a pleasant surprise to a cat lover!
It was a big and comfortable apartment which was well equipped. We stayed for a week without feeling trapped in a hotel.
The prices were fair for any additions even laundry.
It was so easy for a family with kids feeling like home.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel- Restaurant Adler very much. There's a lovely garden in back. The gasthaus, where we ate dinner and breakfast, has a lovely outdoor courtyard and garden. The food was really delicious with much attention to detail. The room was clean, large and lovely overlooking the garden.
We liked the apartments and the caretakers were really friendly and helpful. The place is well equipped and has breakfast options which you can book in advance. Lahr is a peaceful quaint town. It is a really good choice to have your weekend retreat.
A nice hotel near the railway station which was what I wanted .its 2k to town centre but there is a bus station next to railway and hotel .Nice people good rooms and restaurant excellent. Quiet but you can get anywhere you want from here .
The situation is exceptional - wonderful walks await your just behind the hotel carpark. The rooms are great - spacious and practical with a lovely balcony. Breakfast is first class and they're dogfriendly too. The staff are (very) kind.
Very nicely decorated, clean and well-equipped, within walking distance (but down a fairly steep hill) of the Marktstraße, Lahr’s downtown. Pleasant garden apartment on a quiet and leafy residential lane on the hillside above Lahr.
The apartment is very spacious and in a good location. Everything was clean and new. The bed and sofa were very comfortable. We chose Lahr as our destination because there are plenty of walks and activities tailored to kids nearby.
Lahr is a very good town. Black forest and europa park are close by. The apartment is well equipped. There is an elevator. Apartment is well furnished. Host is helpful and prompt in replies.
