The breakfast was relatively poor. All the basics are available, but not a big variety for the buffet. The rooms and their furnishing are relatively old. The bed was ok but not the most comfortable for a hotel. The refrigerator in the room was a little bit loud.

Our first night of a 21day trip through Germany & Poland.
Our first night of a 21day trip through Germany & Poland. We ate on their back veranda outside. Gorgeous views, wonderful staff and good food. The weather was balmy. The room was very comfortable. The hotel had a lot of history and understandable since it was Princess Viktoria's home (first daughter of Queen Victoria.)
The grounds were part of a forest environment.
All the reasons above created a most wonderful night to remember.

Kronberg im Taunus is a gem in the Frankfurt area. We decided to stay there rather than in Frankfurt itself. It was a very smart decision! Kronberg is beautiful, and there is much to see. The view of Frankfurt from the Kronberg castle is phenomenal. The restaurants were wonderful: excellent food and attentive service everywhere. It is a very human scale (as opposed to Frankfurt am Mainhattan), and it was much more relaxing than a few days in Frankfurt would have been. It is only 20 minutes from downtown Frankfurt (by commuter train, S-Bahn). Is there any down side? The town center is very much up hill from the train station, and that might be daunting for the mobility impaired; time for a taxi!

It is a very nice hotel and a unique experience compared with other conventional hotels.
The rooms are spacious, cleaned and well maintained. Bathroom is also spacious and very clean.
Hotel has a real gem in the lobby a sitting space to relax in font of big open fireplace where you can enjoy a drink and a pleasant conversation.
All in all a very nice experience and we hope we will be back to relax and enjoy this place.

Loved everything especially the old world charm, beautiful decor in the room and the luxurious bathroom. Breakfast in bed was wonderful. Being able to park on the grounds right in front of the hotel was so convenient.
Didn't care too much for the lady that checked us out the next morning.

I just love the hotel, the interior, the furniture, the paintings - and the excellent and impeccable service. The garden is most beautiful. If we are flying in or out of Frankfurt, this is the place to say - although you need a car. The restaurant is great - wine selection superb and the food was most delicious.

They have a low score on Booking.com, so I expected to find something not good but it is the opposite.
Definitely staying at Schlosshotel Kronberg was an experience. The hotel is beautiful and the gardens are a pleasure to wonder around. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was delightful. Everyone at the hotel (staff) is extremely accommodating and helpful.
Everything was decorated beautifully and accented it’s rich history. The breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious and offered a diverse spread of quality foods and ingredients. My favorite part about our stay was the staff. Every person we encountered was outstandingly friendly and helpful. They will keep us coming back.
Breakfast was OK. In general everything was ok but it was not at the level of a 4star hotel. I would say more like a 3star hotel. However Bed was really good. I had my room at the quiet side of the hotel. So it was a good night sleep.

The breakfast was good. The location of the hotel is excellent considering that there is a train station in front of the hotel. The place itself is very nice and interesting to visit. Drink a coffee and eat a cake in a nice environment...
The manager is very kind. He helped us a lot. there is a big parking just in front of the hotel. So no issue with the place if you travel by car. The manager even moved his car for us. Wi-fi is fast and strong enough foor each floor.
The hotel was centrally located with a friendly manager. The room was large with a comfortable bed, and our dog was welcomed. There was parking close by at a reasonable rate and there were great restaurants in walking distance.
Modern feeling, high class hotel. Great stock of classic German literature in the wall deco/ furniture. Very good breakfast buffet. Amazing location between small end of line railway station and Casals concert hall.
Dog friendly, they even prepared a dog bed, water and cookies for my dog. Very good location, quiet, next to a big park and not far from the restaurants. Room is big and warm. Hotel stuffs are very friendly.
I stayed for 4 days, everything was perfect. Great location just aproximatelly 100 metres form train station. No problem with parking. The owner of the hotel is very nice and helpfull, the room was clean.

Excellent accommodation. Clean, spacious, great size with everything you need provided. Easy parking. Only downside is there are no shops, restaurants or bars within walking distance.
