Sweet small city with pretty old houses. Big official beach is quite crowded, but there are also smaller entrances to the lake.
What was charming - tables with farm fruits, where you can just leave money in a box, without a selling person. We bought amazing peaches, apples and apple juice, blueberries...

Klaus & Kristina made us welcome from the very start, their beautiful 300 year old property is most certainly a hidden gem, with fantastic chocolate box buildings and fresh fruit being grown in the surrounding fields, makes this location one of the best I’ve stayed in. The breakfast had everything anyone could wish for and we will most certainly be visiting Landhotel Elfenhof again.
The housekeeping staff ensured that the smallest details of room decor was given.
Receptionists were outstanding. Example: I was not sure about swimming facilities, but they informed me that the adjacent swimming facility was free of charge for guests to the Hotel and kindly provided me a ticket to the facility.
We had a spacious room with balcony facing the Bodensee. The view was beautiful.
Breakfast was simple and enough. It was good.
The location is great, right in the middle of the town. Unfortunately the weather was not good but you can have a lovely walk right to the pier.
excellent hotel right next to the Lake. Very friendly and supportive staff. Don't miss the breakfast and the tasty coffee, starting your day with a great view, watching the swans and ducks swimming in front of you.
