Had a classic feel about it. I like that. The staff were exceptional—German hospitality is quite different to the US. Staff were very attentive but always disconcertingly close—that, of they were always going something around me. That said, they were VERY attentive and helpful especially the guys that were there for dinner and then for breakfast. The breakfast was very good—a great spread!
Offering rental boats, a wine bar and free WiFi in all areas, this hotel is located in the Eifel National Park. It lies just 328 feet from Lake Stausee Obermaubach.

The surroundings were very quiet. The bathroom is new and modern. They allowed dogs for 10euro/night, which was cheap.

The battle of Hurtgenwald was a vicious WWII battle in dense woods and deep ravines and only ended with the start of the Battle of the Bulge. Very interesting visiting the Kall Trail and various short hikes to pillboxes, memorials, fox holes, trenches and anti-tank fortifications of the Hurtgenwald and the Westwall (Siegfried Line).

The village is in an idyllic setting with great walks all around. So quiet and relaxing. Along with three hotels all with restaurants there is a coffee house serving excellent gateaux at a reasonable price.
This place is amazing. I've never had such a perfect stay with a service that is normally much more expensive.
The surrounding is great, the hotel has everything you need for a relaxed weekend or week and for a price that defies any competition.
You can book thus place with your eyes closed. You'll thank me later.
Did I say that the diner and breakfast were amazing? Yes, they are. Ingredients are locally sourced, and the taste is just amazing.
We loved everything about our trip to Kallbach. The owners and staff of the hotel are such nice people. We felt very much at home and we definitely would like to go back. The apartment was very cosy and clean and we enjoyed the fresh and diverse breakfast, as well as the lovely food from the restaurant. The road of the hotel leads straight into the forest, perfect for many beautiful walks!

Great sonneweide in the back of the hotel to lay relax in a quite environment
Breakfast was not special but good and coffee was good quality which is important for me
Dinner is good but kitchen closes early 20:30 which we were surprised about first eve so needed to hurry
The location of the apartment hotels is very picturesque, in a small village in a forest valley that has mainly tourist accommodation with several restaurants and direct access to walking trails. The apartment was renovated, clean and spacious, the hotel provided bedding and towels. The staff was helpful. Very dog friendly environment.
I really liked the location and the fact that the hotel had a small spa. The room was quite big as well as the bathroom. The staff was courteous and always available for us. Decent food with an artistic take.
pluses:
Clean hotel, great location, beautiful surroundings, close to Eifel, good en clean wellness, nice staff, small fitness but clean and tidy, dinner was good, silence in the evenings: measured 28dB.
