This is one of my favorite hotels ever! We had an amazing view of the castle and our room was spacious for the three of us. The staff were amazing--they allowed us to change our electric car, and were very helpful with our questions. Breakfast was wonderful. I really do think everyone should stay here!
Finally, we met the hotel owner and she is a wonderful person!

We were within walking distance (5 minutes or less) to lake and within walking distance of both castles. Our 2 rooms had balconies with gorgeous views of neuschwanstein castle. An absolutely stunning location.

I loved our room. We had windows on two walls so when we opened them, we had a fantastic cool breeze going through the room. That, plus how quiet it was up on the hill made for great sleeping. The bed was very comfortable and the linen was noticeably soft, so it deserves a special mention.

This city is amazing and the people are so nice. I had all good experiences during my stay in the area. The Castle Hohenschwangau is worth a visit as well. Most people just go to Neuschwanstein, but please visit the Hohenschwangau Castle as well. Do not eat at the Hotel Muller Bistro quick snack place. The Jumbo hot dog was terrible, and I had an ache in my stomach the rest of the day. Eat at one of the sit down restaurants!

Woman from reception was completely stressed out wich is unpleasant if you have just traveled so we didn't feel very welcome when checking in. After 17:00 not possible to eat anything. Bad WIFI and breakfast ( no fruit) that was not what you expect fir this price. Rooms did not have insulated walls. Perfect distance from the Neuschwanstein castle ( only 200 meters)

We only had one night here which had to fit into our other travel plans. Was a great experience and we will be back for at least 3 nights so we can do further mountains, hikes and cycling. The place has stunning vistas can highly recommend.

Fairy-tail castle build by a romantic young king in a fantastic location high-up in the Bavarian mountains and overlooking a lake surrounded by dense forest. It is a destination worth seeing, part Disney World (the castle itself), part reality (its location). Prior reading up on the historical facts is recommended, though. Visits are well organized, but generally require some waiting for busses and scheduled tours. The physically fit can hike up, instead, but everything has its price, including parking.

Hohenschwangau was a winter fairytale.
Hohenschwangau was a winter fairytale. We had gently falling snow for our stay in December and the township was lit up for Christmas. It was truly magical. We enjoyed the drive through the wintry countryside to get to this destination, one of the most beautiful drives with snow-laden trees and a snow cleared safe passage. Neuschwanstein Castle is a short walk or horse-drawn carriage ride free from the township. There is ample paid parking (10 Euros for a car) for those visiting the castle on a day trip. We dined on traditional Bavarian food a short stroll from our hotel whilst other members of our group dined at Hotel Muller. Service is exceptional. It is like the service providers in this township have made a collective pact to leave every visitor with the best and warmest memories to cherish. I will be telling everyone about this wonderful experience.
The entirety of our stay was absolutely fantastic. Everything was smooth from check-in until check-out. The staff is friendly, breakfast has a large variety of items (e.g., yogurt, cereal, breads, eggs, cold cuts, fresh fruit), and the rooms are very spacious and clean. The hotel is in walking distance to both castles, and is in a quiet location down the street from the other hotels (which we preferred). The hotel is also within five minutes (walking) to the bus station that takes you to/from Fussen.
This place is a hidden gem! It is very peaceful and quiet, especially in the evenings and mornings when there are not many tourists around. Breakfast with the Neuschwastein Castle view, free parking lot for hotel guest, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. You can get to the castle early in the morning to avoid the crowds which arrives around 9.00 am.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
This is a very nice hotel situated in picturesque area below Neuschwanstein Castle and it is very clean, well maintained. Front desk staff very helpful and friendly.Lovely big room with very comfy bed, separate large bathroom and toilet, mini bar and tea & coffee making facilities. We had a small balcony with fantastic view of the castle.
I highly recommend it for its cleanliness, warm and helpful service, view and location.
This hotel has a the perfect location. It is very comfy, cozy, big bedrooms, amazing views to both of the castles. Our highlight was the staff specifically a super polite, kind and very helpful gentlemen at the restaurant in the morning from Pakistan. He made our stay even better, gave us recommendations, offered the most delicious food but the best of all was his attitude; he seemed to be really happy with his job.
The hotel staff was very nice to assign us a suite as we requested for a family room. Thus, the room was simply huge with 1 bathroom and 1 toilet. We felt like a king as breakfast was served to us based on what we ordered! They kitchen baked us fresh croissants! Most importantly, by foot, you should reach the castle between 20 to 30 mins though abit of a slopey walk up. Alternatively, you may book a horse carriage.
Fantastic view of the Neuschwanstein castle from the bedroom. A very short walk to the Museum of the Bavarian Kings, Hohenschwangau castle and the bus stop for Neuschwanstein castle (otherwise 20 min uphill walk... a pleasant walk back though)

We very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Garni Schlossblick. Perfect location to be able to explore the castles and our room even had a little balcony with a small view of the castle. It was comfortable and peaceful. The breakfast had a wonderful array of options and was very yummy. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
Beautiful Hotel with a gorgeous view of the castle. Incredibly quiet and peaceful location, only noisy neighbors were the random goats that would be active around 4:00pm 😊 Helpful, knowledgeable staff. Very clean rooms. Very impressive breakfast buffet for such a small hotel.
excellent location near the castle. Had to pay for parking €8 but was told that in advance. The bed was a bit smaller than expected. Usually in Germany a lat double is two singles put together to make a 6ft bed. This wasn’t the case here.
the hotel's location was charming and beyond expectations you can visit the two castles easily and there is a peaceful lake near by. the breakfast was good and generous portions and the waiter was patient and friendly (his name is Emiel)

Splendid location, right next to the castle - little difficult to get there with a car due to google maps not seeing the road. The breakfast were extraordinary good. Every facility was clean and up to standard.
