Hildesheim is a lovely place full of friendly people excellent cafes and restaurants and simply a feeling of relaxation. On our two trips to watch the invaders American football team we have been lucky to coincide with a wonderful Craft fair in the Magdalene Gardens and then a music festival on the second weekend. We didn’t go looking for either event they just seemed to find us!

A lovely place.
A lovely place. We came over to watch my son playing American football for Hildesheim Invaders. We welcomed by everyone we met and shown kindness at every turn. Lovely centre to Hildesheim (everywhere was in walking distance of the Ibis Styles hotel). Very sociable with cafes and a wide variety of restaurants. We had an electric day at the match on Saturday, and on the Sunday had an equally wonderful day at the Magdalene craft and garden fair near St Michael’s church.
We are already looking forward to our next trip in July.

After visiting the city my only question is how I couldn't hear about it earlier? Do yourself a favour and do the rose trip starting at the info center after dusk. The lights just magnify the experience. Next the you can revisit the track in daylight to discover more details and gems which are less expressed.

As we only stayed one night, we didn't see much of the town, but what we did see was very picturesque and people very friendly. The weekend we stayed, there was a jazz festival on with some great live music which was a bonus.
the owner crazy anda rude and his employees also rude people ( they still my stuff at the room ) I lost a expensive ring cost 9 thousand dollars ( really bad experience) I come from America I never had a really bad experience like that ( get a lawyer to sue the hotel for my ring and my personal things that were stolen from me (jackets, jewerly ect)from the room
Budget accommodation outside the old town - rooms were fine, very basic and a little cold.
We didn't take breakfast which is an extra 7.50 per person. Parking is free in a parking lot 1 min from hotel. There is a place to pull in outside drop bags and get the key. We accidentally parked at the back of the hotel which is private and costs money.
Good location for a short stay. Came for a fair in Hannover Messe. The apartment is in a good area of Hildesheim and easily accessible. The owner of the apartment is very supportive. The bedroom was neatly arranged (with large tv, small fridge, glasses etc) and clean. . The apartment gave a comfortable rest after work.
The room was amazing, it was supper clean and even had complementary drinks.

Little bit out of city but close to motorways so it's perfect stay to break long car travel.
It's clean and well comfortable beds. Although it's day off for the staff, self check in on Sunday without any hassle.
Good contact with hotel owner and everything well explained.
Great parking
Good size room
Comfortable bed, pillows, etc
Decent shower
Each day you can chose if you want your room to be cleaned or if not you may chose a free drink from the bar or the hotel will donate €3 to an environmental charity.
Everything was as we expect from an Ibis brand hotel. The staff was friendly and attentive. The breakfast was good and the parking was what we needed. The room was adequate and comfortable. We would stay again if ever in the area.
Nice room. Good breakfast. Location was picturesque with lovely views. We had a noisy child in a nearby room which was unfortunate. We had a meal in the hotel on the first night which was good but expensive.
Hotel is perfectly clean, easy to check-in and out. Room is small but very cosy and has everything you need for a short stay. Free parking was a great benefit. Breakfast is simple but very good and tasty.
The hotel and surrounding area were fantastic. We traveled there with our two dogs, which did not present a problem for anyone. The staff were very friendly, and the rooms were comfortable.
We booked a room with a view of the market and it was fabulous. High floor, 2 dormer windows, birds eye view of the Christmas Market! Market right outside the hotel doors.
