The sight from our room was beautiful. It almost felt as the Castle of Hohenzollernburg was part of our backyard!
The location is excellent if you plan on visiting the Castle by foot. It takes about 1 hour of light hiking (3km) going through a clean trail.
The price was very good and fair, and the food was also very good.

The view of the castle from the apartment is great. Visiting the castle was nice and also walk on the hill was great. The apartment is located in a multi-storied building with other residents. Supermarkets and restaurants were easily reachable by car. The location allowed us to drive to Rhine falls and Lichtenstein castle. We did not explore but it seemed nice location for walks etc. The owner was very friendly.
We certainly would like to come back.

When we first arrived, we were asked for our passports as ID although we hadn't been asked in two previous hotels. However, the two members of staff that night couldn't have been nicer (Jana and Louis - hope I spelled those correctly). They helped with the menu by recommending meals and dessert and also took the time to come and chat with us about our time in Germany, our lives back in the UK etc. We couldn't have asked for nicer staff ☺
Hotel Brielhof is ideally situated for visiting Burg Hohenzollern (5 minutes drive, which means you can be there early, before any masses would arrive) .
Rooms are maybe not that modern, but more than adequate. Some have views on the castle.
Dinner is good and tasty albeit a bit on the expensive side. But you do get plenty of vegetables (which for me is a big plus and deserves a compliment in meat focused Germany).
The continental breakfast is good with enough options to choose from.
The room was clean and comfortable and even though the hotel is also a pizza restaurant, had no restaurant smells in the room itself. The guys in the restaurant were really nice despite looking a little rough around the edges. The pizza was really delicious and fast.
There are some beautiful art pieces in the hotel. The little touches with the bear decor were very cute.
Parking was great and right out front. Only a short drive to Hohenzollern and Lichtenstein Castle's.
We were on a road trip from Frankfurt Germany to the Black Forest, and headed towards Zalsburg Austria. The property was a great location to pass and stop by for the night. Our room balcony was facing directly at Hohenzollern Castle and we really enjoyed watching and taking pictures of it before sunset and after sunrise. The room, staff, restaurant, free parking and breakfast were all excellent.
Beautiful spacious room, very warm and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful in answering all my questions. The Albcard made going to the Burg Hohenzollern very easy. Hotel is conveniently located to the castle and major roads. Delicious breakfast including the best Stollen I’ve ever had. The key box made check in quick and easy. Enjoyed the wine and drink selection in the foyer.
Modern, clean, and comfortable walk up hotel above a pizzeria. Convenient parking and helpful staff. Check in desk -- and the excellent included breakfast -- were both in the restaurant dining room. Located in a decently walkable residential neighborhood for relaxing, groceries, and restaurants. A great place for an overnight stay during travel.
The hotel and location was PERFECT! The owners were fantastic and went out of their way to make our stay exceptional. The ALB card is included with our stay which allowed us entry into the nearby castle and the Roman museum. We only stayed the two nights, I wish we could have stayed more and include even more activities!
Beautiful hotel. Easy 7 minute drive to Hohenzollern Castle. Breakfast was fantastic. Rooms were beautiful, comfortable and clean. Would 100% stay here again. One note is that it is important to request Alb Card (free Hohenzollern tickets) from the hotel beforehand if you want to use it the same day as check-in.
This is a great little hotel. We had a great view of Hohenzollern castle from our balcony. The room was big and very clean. The restaurant had excellent food. Best potato salad I have ever had. The restaurant and hotel is a family business. The staff (Mom and her son) and the local guests were very friendly.
This hotel is great! The rooms are large, the facilities are good and complete. The kitchen is equipped with many cutlery and utensils. And there are lots of drinks and snacks. The toilet is very clean and full of disinfection facilities.
Location was amazing. To sit on the deck and overlook the castle was incredible. Super cozy place, very friendly staff. Great little restaurant in the hotel. Place made you feel right at home. Would def stay here again.
We stayed only one night and we left really happy from small hotel. Freshly renovated cozy, clean and tide rooms. Many thanks for always smelling and helpful staff especially Mr. Ünal. Breakfast was good
We were located in the very middle of the small town of Hechingen, but this had its negative side: no place for parking. The hotel does not provide any parking places for guests.
The people who run this hotel are fantastic. They are very kind, helpful and accommodating. The hotel is beautiful, in a great spot in Hechingen. The hotel is very clean.
The hotel is situated in the centre of city. The bed was very comfortable. There was a shower gel in the shower. The personal was really nice. There was cleaning every day.
The hotel was centrally located and it is possible to park in the nearby streets or parking areas. The receptionist was very welcoming. It was good for an overnight stay.
We loved the location and the quality of the rooms. You can tell that great care was taken in construction of this hotel. The breakfast was wonderful, too!
