Though I thought I'll have problems for transportation to and from Basel city, the train takes you to Basel city with 5 min, or you can take bus (38) that takes you for circa 10 min.

The hotel was conveniently located on our way back. The owner was very kind to come in person and open the door (we arrived after 22h). The room was more than spacious, it looked more like a large studio with a fully equipped kitchnette. Spotless clean, very comfortable and pleasant. Excellent beds! Bathroom was decent-size, equipped with all one would expect. Breakfast was plentiful, with a large array of ham&salami, veggies, yoghurts, flakes, juices, breads. Definitely to be considered as a stopover for next time.
Staff behavior, hotel cleanliness, room comfort, and its location; everything was great. Breakfast also had a lot of options , and it was served fresh.
I stayed there 2 nights with my family during our road trip to Basel. It is ideally located in the German side, just a couple of kilometers from the Swiss-German toll. Basel City center is just 3-4 kilometers.
I recommend you to give it a try if you are coming Basel or around.
Really nice, good hotel, located in the middle of nowhere:) big rooms, with a lot of space, high quality furniture and materials. Comfortable beds. Clean and tidy. Quiet location and quiet rooms. Really nice staff. You will be really surprised to find such a good hotel at this location. It is about 5-7 km from centre of Basel, easy ride with a car or buss.
This lovely hotel is nested in the Southern German border where you are surrounded by beautiful mountains. The hospitality of the owner and staff are superb. We ate at the Restaurant for breakfast and dinner and the food was exquisite and delicious. Recommend to anybody that want to escape the busy daily life of the city.
I stayed at the hotel after having an amazing dinner at the restaurant.The room was clean, very comfortable with good style & detail of decoration. I like the Amenities and the bathroom which is perfect for make up (good lighting). Good value for money. Free coffee at the corridor is perfect to start the day.

I didn't realize that this hotel is in Germany when I book as my travel is in Basel. It turns out that this hotel is better with good price restaurant and supermarket nearby.
It was our second time at this hotel, we enjoyed each stay very much. The rooms are very cosy and well designed making a nice atmosphere. The location is perfect for a stop after a long drive heading. We highly recommend!
The hotel has a great location and is approximately 30 minutes far from Basel SBB railway station. Bus stop at the other side of the road . Comfortable bed and very clean room.Ideal for a stay if you want to visit Basel.
