The people are very polite. Breakfast is really complete with many different products. Parking included in the price.
The surrounding area is really safe for a walk outside the hotel. There are several place where to eat food or ice cream.
The Hotel has a very nice restaurant but I had no time to taste their food.

I really felt at home as soon as I met the owners, who welcomed me and gifted me a 'welcome dinner.' The hotel reception is in the Chinese restaurant as you come in, and it is a beautiful setting with amazing food! I came to this location because it is close to St. Jakob event center in Basel, Switzerland. The bus stop is a 5-minute walk, and the train station is a 10-minute walk. There are several service businesses: salons, restaurants, and grocery stores. Even though my workshop absorbed my entire day, the owners were so kind to offer me a late-night snack from the restaurant with sparkling water for my room. I slept soundly in the most comfortable bed ever! The affordability, cleanliness, location, and the wonderful owners & staff made my stay a restful experience.

Grenzach-Wyhlen has a very beautiful scenery, and for people who used to book hotels in Basel city, booking in German part woud be interesting. Though I thought I'll have problems for transportation to and from Basel city, the train takes you to Basel city with 5 min, or you can take bus (38) that takes you for circa 10 min.

The hotel was conveniently located on our way back. The owner was very kind to come in person and open the door (we arrived after 22h). The room was more than spacious, it looked more like a large studio with a fully equipped kitchnette. Spotless clean, very comfortable and pleasant. Excellent beds! Bathroom was decent-size, equipped with all one would expect. Breakfast was plentiful, with a large array of ham&salami, veggies, yoghurts, flakes, juices, breads. Definitely to be considered as a stopover for next time.
Low price for the area
Bus station very near to the hotel (it takes around 50 minutes to reach from the Basel EuroAirport but note that on Sundays there are less busses so it is advisable to book a flight that leaves at noon at the earliest if you want to eat breakfast at the Expert Hotel that starts at 8 am and also use public transportation to the airport)
Comfortable mattress and big windows
The hotel is located in a picturesque area perfect for walking and hiking but just a short drive from supermarkets etc. The rooms are comfortable and we were greeted by friendly staff. The restaurant is exceptional, we often stay here when visiting the area and always make sure we have a dinner at the hotel, it is best to book as the restaurant is very popular.

This lovely hotel is nested in the Southern German border where you are surrounded by beautiful mountains. The hospitality of the owner and staff are superb. We ate at the Restaurant for breakfast and dinner and the food was exquisite and delicious. Recommend to anybody that want to escape the busy daily life of the city.
I stayed at the hotel after having an amazing dinner at the restaurant.The room was clean, very comfortable with good style & detail of decoration. I like the Amenities and the bathroom which is perfect for make up (good lighting). Good value for money. Free coffee at the corridor is perfect to start the day.
It’s our 2nd time stay in the hotel. As last year we are very satisfied, the hotel is very comfortable, the room is spacy and very clean, the staff is very friendly, the hotel has it’s own restaurant, not cheap but very tasty food. We’ll be glad to return again next year
