Close to the train station. Great places to eat I hadn't been there since 1980 while in the army still a wonderful village. Just got to Atlanta via Frankfurt tired tired now home to pensacola.
Ettingen is an absolutely charming town! It's wonderfully compact and cozy, perfect for a stroll. I loved the abundance of spots for kids to play, making it an ideal family destination. A truly delightful experience!

Ettlingen is one of my favorite small towns in Germany. It's beauty has always attracted me, along with its several good restaurants, its quick access to Karlsruhe via street car, and the friendliness of the people. I particularly love that it's a wonderfully walkable town.

Small old town with many listed buildings. The old town was mainly pedestrianised with cobbled streets. Good selection of restaurants and cafes. It would probably be a good base for exploring the area - we only had one night so were a little limited. We enjoyed walking around and along the river. We found a very Germanic restaurant off the main square. The staff were friendly and helpful. There were some nice parks and a pretty Physic Garden. Public transport seemed good although we didn't use it - there are trams into Karlsruhe as well as buses .
It's my impression that this hotel survives reviews because of its breakfast staff and night staff. The location was good (for my needs). It was also quiet on the side facing away from the street The bed was comfortable.The breakfast was good and the service was very kind at breakfast. The service at the front desk was also much more knowledgeable about customer service at night..
Great location, clean rooms friendly staff. 24 our reception... We traveled long from Italy and need a room. The pricing including b'fast was marvelous... The hotel has all you need.. and I'd it is not there they will sort it out. The breakfast in the morning was rich healthy and good.. we noted this hotel as a stopover place for future travels
Room was decent sized and the bed was comfortable and plenty big. Aircon was a big plus as there was a heatwave at the time.
Shower was fantastic, very good water pressure. Parking on the street next to the hotel is free for 2 hours and between 7pm and 8am (so if you park at 5 it's free all night).
Good location for drivers. Easy access from autobahn / freeway. Perfect for spending a night during long road trips through Germany. Nice parking lot in front of the hotel (not covered), but not included in the hotel room price.
Very well equipped hotel. Great restaurant, great beds, great bathroom. Very nice breakfast and helpful staf. Swimming pool and wellness are very well maintained and charming design. Sophisticated gym facilities!
We spent a night on our travels few years ago there and lately again one night. Its a really good choice, clean hotel, large parking space, close to highway, good breakfast and welcoming employees of the hotel.
Proverbial German cleanliness, excellent fit and finish, good buffet breakfast, smallish room, unfunctional bathroom layout and design, hotel parking charge could be less, or public parking 5 min away.
An overnight stop on a journey home from Croatia to the UK - excellent value and no faults whatsoever - will definitely use this hotel as our stopover again. Thanks to all the team at the hotel

Good quality breakfast. Single room is a bit small but sufficient for a couple of nights. Hotel is in walking distance to the old part of the town. Fast internet (free of charge).
The low price corresponds to the poor service and dirtiness of the room. Don't let the brand name mislead you, that particular hotel is a way out of a luxury experience.
