We were running about an hour late due to traffic and I contacted Kai and he met us at the property. He brought us to our room and showed us what was in the rental. He explained where everything is including the washer and dryer on the first floor and took us to the parking area to park our car.

Eichhorst is a historical little village set in a forest.

Eichhorst is a historical little village set in a forest. There is plenty in walking distance to visit - among other things a tower, a little harbour with boats, beautiful forests, a protected 600 year old oak, and the graveyard had a grave dated early 1800´s. A river runs alongside the little town and I saw there is a place to hire boats and bikes. I ate out at the Fisch Express which is just over the bridge past the sluice. They have meals, or different sorts of fish in bread rolls to eat in or take out. Good to know that cards are not accepted for payments, so take a little cash with you. Also there wasn´t a supermarket, but I loved my stay there.
