Much of the action occurs in the Old Town, otherwise known as the Longest Bar in the World due to the amount of cafes and bars serving a dark beer called “altbier”. The center was faithfully reconstructed according to the city’s foundation walls after the Second World War and offers a historical insight to the city.
Museums range in exhibitions from history at the Stadtmuseum, to fine art at Museum Kunst Palast and even to a museum dedicated to mustard. If shopping prevails over culture then head to the Königsallee, a picturesque strip of high-fashion shops set alongside a tree-lined canal.

The city is characterized by its attention to art and architecture. Several iconic buildings to visit, the Ko Bogen for example has a facade covered with plants. You will find a lot of modern art and not only (museums K20 and K21), many parks to rest in and many proposals for tourists. Do not miss visiting the nearby Koln !

The food scene is explosive here.
The food scene is explosive here. It’s a very lovely city with great public spaces for gathering, solo time or just people watching. I have never been to a city where I saw so many restaurants that I wanted to try. Getting around was simple enough. This city is very underrated and I hope to come back. I understand why tourists don’t think to visit here compared to other cities in Germany, but it seems like a really great place to live and stay long-term.

Düsseldorf main station attracts lots of unsavoury characters. The modern city centre isn't very clean and has no interesting architecture to speak of. Public transport however, is excellent. Shops are closed on Sundays including most of the (otherwise pretty good) outdoor cafes and restaurants on the Königsallee, Düsseldorf's main drag.
Düsseldorf does have a few great art museums, however, and as one the central hubs of the Asian community in Germany, it also has a great selection of Asian restaurants, from ranging from Japanese and Korean to Uygur and Cantonese. Can recommend enjoying a beer at the boulevard along the river Rhine.
It is very nice hotel close to Central HBF, in the City Centre. Easy access to most important touristic places, walking distance to all of them from this amazing property. It’s very clean and comfortable. Stuff was very friendly, special thanks to miss Alina. I must recommend to stay here earnestly like a very lovely place to stay in Düsseldorf.
This is a good hotel that is close the city centre and in the middle of the Japanese district. Great selection of restaurants around.
Breakfast was good too and rooms clean. Rooms with a view are more expensive. However, you‘ll have the best view from the restaurant on the top floor.
The biggest advantage of the hotel is definitely it's location. It is located just 300m from Central Railaway station and 15 min walk from the city center. Very convenient if you are getting there from airport by train. Breakfast is quite ok.
Very clean hotel. Rooms are very nice and cozy, bed is comfortable. Breakfast is rich and tasty. 10 min walking to Dusseldorf
.hbf and 25 min walking to city center and old town. Price is good for this hotel wich felt for me 4 stars not 3
