A BEAUTIFUL friendly city with one of the best street markets (produce, fish, bread - all harvested and produced locally !) in Germany.
The people who live here are so friendly, the cafés so delicious, and the local beer freshly brewed.
The Theater has wonderful performances that I can highly recommend.

The place is spotless, I lived here as a British service child. It seems to have much changed on the surface (well it would in 49 years!). The town is very quiet which is great if you like a peaceful night. It's in a beautiful part of the country with much to explore. If you like burgers look no further than Cafe Outback. I had the best burger and bratkartoffeln in years!

A very small town where there is not much to do, one day is enough to see everything. Haven't had the time to hike in nature, guess that can be a nice thing to do here. Was here for a reuse of modernist building workshop.
This is the best place to stay in Detmold! You can walk to grocery and bakery. It is a beautiful, spacious, and quiet place. We cooked Thanksgiving dinner in their lovely modern kitchen which had everything we needed. The flat is in a charming residential area. Private parking space for our rental car. The host was helpful, kind, and immediately responded to our questions. Excellent!!
Our daughter lives in Detmold and it was a 10 minute walk to her place and the park and opera house. We will rent this place again!

The accommodation was spacious, spotlessly clean and had many thoughtful touches. We were given a very friendly welcome by Gerd and the flat had everything we needed for our stay. The area is peaceful and we would highly recommend a visit. We would liked to have stayed for longer and hope to return.

We had a little problem, the toilet was not stopping. So we immediately got a new room.

The owners were very friendly! They took time to explain everything. They even prepared water, beer and chocolate. The property was also very clean. Finally the location is great! It is in the center and shopping street. I recommend this place when staying in Detmold!
The hotel has no personnel, so you get a code for the key in advance of your arrival. It's easy and efficient. There's parking at the location. Beds are comfi (not too soft), bathroom is modern and everything is clean.
Quiet neighbourhood.
The little apartment is located in a beautiful old house right in the historical centre of Detmold. The bed was very comfortable and overall it was a very nice room. The wooden bathroom was for sure a highlight for me, great hair dryer!
This is a well-appointed flat. It's about 15 minutes walking distance from the centre of Detmold. The town itself is a good centre for exploring the region by car, and there's no shortage of good destinations in the area.
Lovingly renovated and decorated hotel in a charming street in the centre of Detmold. Very comfy beds, super friendly staff. They only just started doing breakfast, which was excellent as well! Thank you for a great stay.
