The location was perfect for us as we had an appointment in Lehrberg. This is a very interesting property, converted from a mill and granary to a modern multi-building hotel. The grounds are lovely, also with seating overlooking adjacent fields. They were very kind in changing our room to one easily accessed by elevator. Good standard German breakfast.

This hotel is an old castle and truly an experience of a lifetime if you want to feel in a fairy tale. The deers running on the surrounding grounds, the landscape, and the surrounding nature can evoke a surreal experience, as much as the haunting details of mounted animals, taxidermy, old dolls in cribs. Highly recommend.
1. Good location. On the top of a mountain in Colmberg. Can see the sunset, sunrise and morning fog, especially the morning fog is very beautiful.
2. Long history and interesting exploring experience. Also have animals near the berg.
3. Good service. We need to leave to airport in the morning, give us earlier breakfast than their open time.
4. Good facilities. Have enough hot washing water.
5. Good food.
The grounds are beautiful and parking was effortless. The winter garden where they serve breakfast is very nice and the breakfast is very good. The restaurant serves regional dishes that are very tasty and the personnel are very nice. The owner runs the hotel and she, and her crew, did everything they could to accommodate our requests. WiFi works well :).
The staff was so friendly and the food was great! We have a 2-year-old, so it was great to have the play area for him while we could eat and have a drink. The views were stunning and they did a great job of combining modern elements with the old feel of the castle.
The town is lovely, the castle nearby adds to the charm. The premises of the hotel are well kept and pleasant. Unfortunately, there was hunting happening in the vicinity of the hotel during our stay, therefore we could not take a walk in the surrounding woods.
Burg Colmberg is a beautiful mix of old world charm and modern convenience. The views around the castle are exquisite. The location is convenient and easy to find. Breakfast was great with delicious coffee. The service was excellent.
we had difficulties getting to the Hotel due to Road closures, but when finally arriving the greeting was great. The restaurant served a great dinner. The next morning we had a great Breakfast. This place is highly recommendable.

It is an unforgettable experience - to sleep in the castle, have a very tasty dinner and walk around. For kids there also a castle playground. You can truly relax and enjoy while staying here.
