Our host was incredibly accommodating and obviously takes great pride in caring for her guests. She met us at check-in, walked us through everything, and coordinated breakfast. The rooms were spotless and had everything we needed. The location was perfect for us after visiting Burg Eltz that afternoon, before making our way down the river back home. Parking is on site. There are walking paths behind the house.
She gave us excellent recommendations for dinner. The downstairs is accessible for an open tab on wine and beverages after hours as well as access to the terrace with a view of the river. She served us, sat and chatted with guests during breakfast, and was just lovely in general. She also made our children hot chocolate in the morning, which she joked was the best in Germany- but my kids actually said it was the best they'd had! Photo included is of my youngest enjoying her morning treat

Breakfast buffet is very good. Our room faced the river and was above restaurant and square so a little loud. With no AC we had to have the window/door open.

Family vacation house on the Mosel
3 generations of one family (and a dog) – spent here 2 nights in May, 2024. This house is a very good place for family vacation: 3 bedrooms, a kitchen with a dinner table, a living room and 2 good bathrooms. Pet-friendly – this is fortunately typical for Germany. Distances: ~ 100m from Mosel. ~ 1.3 km to Edeka supermarket, ~ 7 km to Cochem center. There are also 2 minor “cons”: no dishwash machine and no Mosel view. Friendly host. Recommended for family vacation.

Bruttig-Fankel is a lovely little town on the Mosel.
Bruttig-Fankel is a lovely little town on the Mosel. Many Weinguts to visit, and good choices for food. Very quiet in the evening, with hardly any traffic. It would be a great location as your base to explore the area by bike, close to a bridge to visit the other side, and there is also a ferry stop.

Idyllic village and others really close.
Idyllic village and others really close. Lot to see and explore by foot, bike or car. I would like to come back postcoronatime to see all restaurants and winerys open and lighted. Now it was quite dark place to stay.
Good located hotel, in the mosel wine region. Friendly lady to welcome us, very comfy beds and good hot shower in the morning. Free coffee also! The hotel is outdated and it smells a bit air refresher - mush + as you enter the hallway looks old, but at the end it is a very good option considered the price, which is way lower than other options around. The village is ok, but if you walk 2km upstream, you'll find the amazing cute Beilstein village to have dinner at. All in one we had a very good stay here.
The location was perfect, as all the major tourist attractions were just an hour's drive away, and Cochem town was a mere 10 minutes away. This made it an ideal base for exploring the area. Not only was the location great, but the stay was comfortable, and the host was incredibly welcoming and helpful. Overall, I had an excellent experience and would recommend this property to others.
The location is peaceful, serene and beautiful. Everyone in the family and staff that runs the hotel make you feel welcome and are very kind and helpful. Couldn't have asked more for such an amazing getaway. Cochem is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for making our stay so lovely.
Well it's the best one so far we went close to cochem everything we need and you can go anywhere you want like it's easy on the roads lots of parking very relaxing feeling hope we can stay they again but then even langer
The location was exceptional. Bruttig-Fankel is near all the turist attractions in the region, and with the Guest Ticket provided by the amicable Schieferdeckers, you can even enjoy the famous wines of the region.
The hotel was lovely and quaint. We have nightmare experience getting there. We were charged $57 euro by the taxi to go 5 miles! Make sure you get a taxi price ahead of time. I would recommend this pension.
Wonderful family hotel with lovely owners. Nice and basic room with a view over Mosel. The village itself was calm and sweet. We are at their restaurant and drank their locally produced wine.
The hotel is in the old square looking out across the Moselle- lovely position. The hotel is cosy and parking really easy. Very nice and inexpensive restaurant just along from it.
Nice quite place in a small village. About 10-15 min walk to a ship berth where you can take ride to Cochem (about 30 min) or about 30 min walk to next village. Good breakfast.
Very clean, good equipped apartment with everything you need.
Good located, close to Cochem or other places to visit. No problem with parking.
Friendly personel.
