Good building and very nice receptionists who helped with everything. Great view from the room, which I asked for. Sauna area on the roof. There was nothing unneccessary in the room, but anything was available on request. The breakfast buffet was also fine, on the day I had time to spend there. I wish I could have just coffee and a croissant on days when I have to leave early. Probably I could have had those if I had asked the night before.

BAUHAUS is the must-see highlight, of course! Just great.
BAUHAUS is the must-see highlight, of course! Just great.
But there are also many other historic buildings that make a up a ensemble worth visiting. Very clear signposts to guide to all important venues.
And to be honest: I was surprised by meeting 100% friendly and welcoming people in Dessau.
In short: Go there!

I visted especifically for Gropius, Klee, Meyer and the rest of the BAUHAUS experience - and Dessau is it. No competition. Dessau is worth staying longer in and using as a base to explore the sites in the surroundings. Good transport hub :)))))

Visited specifically to see the various Bauhaus related sites - museum, school and masters houses - but otherwise there does not seem to be much else to draw you into the city. On a tip from a friend I drove out to the 18th century gardens at Worlitz, which on a nice day make for a fantastic walk of 1-2 hours.

Apart from the Bauhaus architecture, it is a typical Soviet designed town and therefore a museum piece in itself - very quiet, sleepy place The theatre has an excellent standard of music theatre, opera, ballet etc.
Accommodation in an apartment building in one of Dessau's quiet streets. We stayed on the ground floor with windows facing the street - surprisingly it was quieter than we expected. The only problem was that you couldn't leave the windows open overnight (or only with the outside blinds drawn, i.e. the room was hot).
Bikes could be stored in the courtyard without any problems. Perfect communication.
Breakfast was standard.
Personal overall very pleasant.
Well equipped, comfortable and clean apartment in good location in Dessau, only 10 minute walk from town centre. Friendly host met me with the keys, checkin and checkout was very straight forward. Apartment is spacious and the host has been very considerate, leaving bowls and treats for my dog, local information, bathroom toiletries etc. On street parking is right outside and very convenient. Will stay again.
The hotel Schlafgut is clean and modern. The rooms are quite and comfortable. A writing desk was put inro my room upon request. There was none before. The hotel has no reception and meals are not available. It is a sleeping place outside the centre of Desssau.
Radisson is a quick walk to the Bauhaus Museum and to teehaus restaurant, which was very good. The front staff was good, but they cannot make up for the fact that the hotel needs updating, cleaning and renovation, if it is to deserve its 4 star rating.
Welcoming and communicative staff, large and comfortable bedroom. Next to the main tram line 1 into town. Very good value with tasty breakfast. Great base for exploring Bauhaus sites. Thank you Jessica and team.

Hotel well located in the center of the city, nice room, nice TV, nice bed. The free minibar, which includes 2 bottles of water, an apple juice, Coca and a beer, was highly appreciated.
I arrived by bike as a female solo traveller and had a great experience. Dinner was amazing! The staff was welcoming and the hotel felt like a little bit of paradise in the woods.
Comfortable and cozy apartment, just next to supermarkets and large park. Easy walking distance to most of the tourist highlights in Dessau. Happy to stay there again next time.
Food: breakfast was lightly good.
