The location was good, 10 minutes by foot from the train station, directly at Bermuda3Eck and therefore directly in the inner city with lots of shops and resturants nearby. The room was comfortable, very clean and nicely furnitured. Breakfast could be taken in the restaurant below for max. 19.90€ per person and was plenty and very delicious. The staff in the restaurant was amazingly friendly.

Rest of the Center felt a bit difficult to navigate and empty later in the day though admittedly on working days so it might be better in the weekend.
Highlander Games has great Board Game Stock but mostly for the German speaking audience.
The Matrix is a must go place for a concert.
Paddy's Irish Pub may be small but has nice ambience and a great price on the Guinness.

I was in Bochum to visit friends, but was pleasantly...
I was in Bochum to visit friends, but was pleasantly surprised with all the city had to offer! The Stadtpark is lovely, with lots of hiking trails and some paddle boats, and the view from the Bismarck tower was very good (and free!). I was surprised how much I enjoyed the Mining Museum underground tour - very informative and fun! There is so much green in the city, and many shopping opportunities and excellent transport. It's also easy to travel to other locations. We visited the half-timber houses of Hattingen and also Dusseldorf (only about 30 min trip by train). Our favourite restaurants were the tapas bar Uno Mas, and the innovative restaurant The Living Room.

Public transportation is excellent. Figuring out which zone ticket to pay might be a challenge.
If you need to eat, visit the Bermuda dreieck where you have two blocks of restaurants. Choosing might be a challenge.
Bochum is worth a trip. Take extra time.

Bochum was really lovely at Christmas time. The decorations in the centre we’re lovely and welcoming.
Eating out is also great and there is lots of choice - but many places got booked up at the weekend, so booking ahead is essential.
The hotel is very close to Lennershof station where you can go to Bochum Bahnhof within 20 minutes. The room is slightly small but it has everything you need — towel, hairdryer, mugs, cotton buds, shower, shower gel, shampoo, a kettle, plugs, clothes hangers, free Wi-Fi, and toilet rolls. The bed is comfortable. The host is very friendly and she gave me so much bread and cheese that I couldn’t finish as breakfast. The service was great.
The hotel is in the city center, so you can just walk to most of places. A smaller railway station is next to it, the main railway station just a walk away, and the underground couple hundred meters. Breakfast is complete. Equipment inside the room is fine and the beds in principle comfortable. There is a grocery store just across. The ladies at the reception were professional.

Small but comfortable and well managed hotel near to the Starlight Express theatre. There was a great choice of hot and cold food at breakfast. Very clean hotel. Excellent place to stay if you are seeing the show as its an easy walk and no need to take transport there.
Location is Wonderdul. Across the hotel a market is found and also restorants Str in near Hotel. Train station is so close. They have small kitchen and everything is included in there. I loved. If I came Düsseldorf again I will stay Bochum and Nena apartments
The room was as small as a bathroom it’s not a size of a room that can fit two adults it would be perfect if you’re 6 years old or younger.. the price we paid was a joke because of the location but there are many hotels around way cheaper and cleaner
It had proper blinds, so you could achieve total darkness for better sleep.
