The location itself was magnificent, our two girls loved the fact they could spend the night in an actual real life castle. The fact that it was in halloween seasons made it all the better. After a nice breakfast we visited the castle which can be seen from the two story room we had. The (fairly affordable, and discounted) tour of the castle grounds was very informative and amusing.

Monica was so helpful, we were very late arriving, but she helped us get to our room.
The hotel is beautiful, the room very clean, loads of hot water in the shower.
Breakfast was delicious, huge selection, as much as you can eat.

An amazing small supermarket about 30 metres from the B&B which stocked just about everything conceivable, coupled with a great delicatessen and copious quantities of fantastic local beers in the lock-up garage across the road - all at extremely reasonable prices.
We knew the hotel was very old and "rustic", and this was perfectly fine for us. The staff is small and they were very busy preparing for an event the next day, but they still made sure we were settled. Beer and water was available. The restaurant across the street was enjoyable. Breakfast was also great.

The breakfast package was amazing!!! We couldn’t eat at the hotel because we had to leave earlier so they made us an amazing, very generous packed lunch that we ate through the whole day! The staff were so nice and helpful!
