Everything here went great! The staff was so friendly when we asked if we could leave our luggage there early to go hiking, and they sent our luggage straight to our room. We got upgraded to a beautiful 2 bed room apartment which was very well equipped and comfy. The check-in was very smooth and the breakfast was so great. All in all, really recommend!

Alles was vorher bewertet war. The room was great, the people were very friendly and so helpful, and the sauna/pool/spa area was super. The only disappointment was that we set up a birthday dinner table (which happened) and a birthday breakfast table (which did not happen because people took our table and moved our number).

Lovely quiet town on the Elbe river. Well connected with roads, publish transport including river ferries. Plenty to do and excellent excursions fronm the town, eg hiking, mountain biking. Good indoor pool incl. wellness / spa centre. You need to book restaurants for dinner in the high season. And by 9pm its quite quiet, so not a lot of night life!

Bad Schandau area has a lot to offer and unfortunately we only spent one night here. I would have liked to stay another2-3 nights to do some hiking and bike riding in the area. I had a very good Thai Massage very close to the hotel. Town is pretty quiet at night with not a big selection for restaurants.

Town is charming with a large green area along the stream. Access to hiking in the National Park is very good and many trails leave from the various bus stops. Several good restaurants and bakeries are available and a good grocery store. In all, it is a good place for walkers!

Small town Germany!
Small town Germany! I loved the views of the river; we took a bike ride on nice easy paths down to the Czech border and back the other side. Trains made this very accessible from Dresden. There were great hikes, too from town and in the next town closer to Dresden.

Bad Schandau itself is a great place to visit if you like hiking and being in nature. The views are spectacular and there are hikes to suit every level of fitness. There's also a big spa to soak your weary muscles (COVID restrictions allowing).
It's not amazing for dining or culture, but it does have a few decent restaurants and a couple of good supermarkets if you have cooking facilities.
It is a lovely hotel in an idyllic location, surrounded by beautiful nature. The house is walking distance to the Elbe river. It features the wellness area with sauna and the bier garden right next to the house. Our booking included breakfast which was very nice as well. It was in another location with the terrace outlooking the river. There was no Wi-Fi in the room, which is intentional, but you can catch free Wi-Fi in the restaurant and beer garden , if needed.

Good experience. Good communication with host. Apartment was good size for family of three. Next to a park which is good for children. Very quiet and peacefull. Bad Schandau is a very small town so everything is close. We spent three nights and did hiking. Tram stop to waterfall park was very close. Having your own kitchen is very nice so you can cook what you want. Can recommend for anyone.
Everything was very clean, great shower and bathroom. The apartment was spacious. The bed was big and quite comfy. The TV was great to use while hanging out in the evening or during bad weather, and the balcony was very nice. There was tea, coffee (with filter machine) provided. 20 mins walk down the valley into Bad Schandau, and the location was good for the best hikes.

Our room had a nice view to the mountains. There was a desk which was useful for remote work. The wifi worked well. The breakfast was nice and varied. The staff was helpful. The hotel has a sauna and relaxation area. The location was great for hiking, directly at the mountain (well, after just crossing the river by ferry).
The hotel is at a central location in the town, with a nice terrace with view on the Elbe river. In front of the hotel, you can park your car at a low rate for hotel guests. The breakfast was nice and WiFi connection was good even though we stayed at the top story of the hotel (accessible by elevator).
i’ve been to this hotel several times over past ten years, it stayed the same - great location, warm service, huge portions of homey cooked food.
however, in terms of the comfort it never changed and i just grew out of it so much that i don’t think i will be coming back as a hotel guest again.

It's very fine place. Little village of Germany. Near the beauty places - Bastie, Kionigstein, Stolpen, Bad Schandau. You can see the mountains from window 😉😍 the food so good, the host of hotel was great. We will return, when decide to visit Germany again.
