The breafast was very underwhelming and too expensive for what was offered. The facilities however are good with great cleaning service. The hotel is in a very calm area 20 minutes away from the city center.
It was overall a good experience, but the breakfast could be better.

A small, pleasant German town. Several excellent restaurants, and lots of nice surrounding countryside. I visited the beautiful cemetery, which provides a real-life glimpse into the history of a town.

Bad Berka is known for it's spa.
Bad Berka is known for it's spa. There is a lovely cycle path to Weimar and lots of hiking routes in the area. Close to Weimar is the memorial of Buchenwald concentration camp. Though not what you would call a pleasant place to visit it was incrediably impressive and I think a place that everyone should visit to become convinced of the necesscity of freedom for and the equality of all humanity regardless of colour or ethnicity.
The location was great. About 15 minutes walk to the bus and metro stops to go to Weimar and Erfurt. The tourist tax gives you free travel to Weimar on these. Bad Berka is a small and attractive town. Lots of walking possible in the Kurpark and surrounding countryside. The owner is extremely friendly and gives lots of information. The apartment is very spacious and well equipped.
The breakfast was tasty and the coffee just right. We also appreciated the willingness of the staff to wash our clothes, because we weren't able to find a laundromat in Bad Berka. Most of all, we really enjoyed visiting with the staff! You all were wonderful! Thanks so much!
