Very nice town, which was quite suprising for us.
Very nice town, which was quite suprising for us. Alongside the rhein river. Many classical half-timbered houses. Nice surroundings.
Very quiet. Not many (any?) open restaurants on a monday evening (passing through, just for one night).

We found Bacharach via online reviews and recommendations. It was all it was described to be. Beautiful, authentic, less touristed and the locals were extremely friendly. Would recommend a train trip to Bacharach to experience the beautiful views on the Rhine.

It was very quiet, although we expected that it should be high season and therefore busier. It is a beautiful old town and well worth visiting. We were disappointed that KD had cancelled boat trips up and down the river on the day we were there, so there was less to do than we had planned.

For us, Bacharach was a visit to a totally charming village...
For us, Bacharach was a visit to a totally charming village of numerous old homes ( some dating back pre-16th century, yet well-restored and maintained) and cobbled streets.
During our stay, we walked:
- up to the castle above the town - strenuous for us-we are both in our 70s!
- about 3km towards Kalb (sited on the opposite side of the Rhine;
- about 6km up into the hills above Bacharach.
Each of these walks were highlights of our five-day stay.
In summary, we had the benefit of a very comfortable apartment, excellent, thoughtful hosts; combined with a visit to a beautiful town.
The location is perfect, we could not have asked for a better spot to stay, everything is around you and has such charm, The hotel was quiet and has old school character which we really enjoyed, such things as the low lighting and old stairs that makes a small noise, it is a great little time capsule! The staff are super friendly and breakfast was perfect, please take the time to enjoy the breakfast room with your coffee before taking in the beautiful town, time slows down a bit and its certainly great!
The hosts, Ingrid and Helmut, were the most wonderful hosts we ever experienced. They made us feel like family. Their property and garden were beautiful and relaxing. It was an easy 15-20 minute walk into old walled town of Bacharach. the room was spacious, extremely clean and comfortable. Breakfast was superb and generous. Ingrid spoke fluent English. our hosts went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful visit to Bacharach, giving us local information on things to do and see during our stay
nothing good about this hotel. Management refused to recognise my booking even when I showed them the confirmation. They increased the price from 70 to 90 euros and demanded cash payment immediately. The lady was vey aggressive and it was take it or out. As it was late and after cycling all day I took it. on departure the gentleman followed me around everywhere presumably to ensure I didn’t steal the room key. Very insulting.
GREAT breakfast selection and friendly staff. Towels were really soft (and they had washcloths!) and the windows blocked out the sound of the church bells next door which allowed us to sleep. Elevator was larger than expected and convenient. Hotel was open on a Sunday and allowed guests to book dinner reservations while a lot of other spots are closed in town (plus the food was delicious).
I would not hesitate to recommend Jutta’s wonderful guesthouse. It was spotlessly clean, very nicely laid out, comfortable and in the perfect location right in the center of town and walking distance to everything in Bacharach. The apartment was well stocked and Jutta thought of even the smallest thoughtful detail We will definitely be returning the next time we are here.
Wonderful home base for exploring the Rhine! The apartment fit our family of 5 perfectly, and the views from the terrace were amazing. The drive down to Bacharach was quite short, perhaps 5 minutes. It was nice to get away to a quiet hamlet on top of the hill at the end of a long day. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!
Nice location just outside Bacharach; advised to rent a bike in the city to move up and down. The room was tidy, and the breakfast was amazing. The area in which the breakfast was served was a nice location to sit and relax. The wine from their own cellar is very tasty and can be bought for a good price from the fridge in the breakfast room.
This was our first stop on our trip to Germany and it was the best accommodation! The apartment is in a quiet section of town, but a close walk to the old city and we could park right out front. Well appointed with coffee maker, tea pot, and utensils. Lovely, great value for the money! We highly recommend if you are visiting Bacharach!!
I requested to stay an extra night at the hotel due to difficulty finding another room because of a German holiday. the staff got us an extra night in what was obviously an upgraded room! wonderful view and great location. breakfast was included in price and was excellent
The hotel is located just outside the centre of Bacharach, within walking distance but outside the busy areas. So ideal!
The hotel itself is pleasant, with a homely layout and comfortable rooms. Reception by the owner was most friendly.
The breakfast was good.
The location was perfect - right in the middle of Bacharach and an easy to walk to from the train station. Communication from the host was great, and it was very easy to collect our key. I was also thankful they provided a small coffee machine and coffee.
This quaint hotel is in a great location to walk anywhere in Bacharach, is clean and quiet. The hostess, Brigid, is very kind and helpful and she makes a great breakfast. Parking was close and free, and the bed was comfortable.
It was super! Very pretty place for stay! I recommend! The owner waited us and showed all. A hospitable and friendly woman. This hotel is a private big house with 3 floors. Not far from train station and centre of town.
It is a absolutely beautiful hotel with great location and a perfect place for people who appreciate history / historic properties. The hotel's restaurant served good food, and the breakfast was good as well.
standard room is good size for a couple. breakfast was great with fresh bread and german snacks.
Location was perfect right in center of bacharach on a corner point.
Dogs are no problem always a good plus!
The Hotel is perfectly situated in the centre of the picturesque town. Breakfast was delicious, and the room was spacious with comfortable beds. We had a lovely stay and would definitely go again.
