The hotel is located in the perfect spot, close to the train station and on the edge of the Alt Stadt. The hotel is an old Bavarian building with modern bathrooms and furniture. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast which was included in the hotel price was good with delicious coffee. We were on a bicycle tour while staying there. The staff provided us excellent bicycle storage within the building.

Staff were extremely friendly and the breakfast was done rather well. Better than the expected honestly. PET fee was only €10, which is rather standard for a motel 8 and the like, so for a high end motel to only charge this amount was unexpected.

Town square was the highlight, but all of the Altstadt is attractive and interesting. Go to Schroderer Brau restaurant good atmosphere and food. Three days is ample time, can easily be enjoyed in two.
We are very happy to stay in the apartment. Everything is in accordance with the information, the apartment is completely renovated, very clean, nice and modern. It has everything you need during your stay. Very good contact with the owner, for the information you need. Very good location in the city. I loved the modern look throughout and the ability to use my phone to unlock doors. The rooftop bar was excellent as well, with wonderful cocktails offered along with a 360 view of the city. I also enjoyed my spa time, also located on the rooftop. The location is close to everything. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
Small old style hotel but modern, if that makes sense. Parking can be tight, so plan ahead. Room was spacious with very modern bathroom. Easy access to the pedestrian and shopping area. Restaurants and cafes are easily accessible. Breakfast small but good.

Beautiful hotel! Very clean. Downtown location. Beautiful wellness area. The breakfast room in the rooftop bar area has amazing views of downtown. The breakfast buffet is excellent. directions.. I highly recommend this place and would stay here again.
Very centrally located, yet relatively quiet. Clean and spacious room, with modern bathroom. Rich breakfast. Free parking for about 5-6 cars in front of the hotel, otherwise a public parking garage nearby could be used.
Staying in a 'prison' makes for an interesting experience! Very friendly staff and, overall, a great place to stay in the centre of Amberg. The hotel is also well set up with facilities for cyclists. Very good.
Loved the hotel itself (building/grounds), the check-in process was a breeze, location was good, a very charming very german property. It felt dated, but in a good way, like mid-century 60's charm.
The large room was nice and the bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly and breakfast was good. The hotel was located very close to the city's old town, and I could walk to all locations.
