The main purpose of my trip is to visit my friends. The rest of the time I went to feel the slow pace of life in the town. The bar is really good, people are very kind, and of course the girl is very beautiful!
Basically this is a hotel that also has part of it made into apartments, so you check in at hotel desk, but then there is another entrance which is kind of private to the stairway for the apartments.
Free parking was great too, quite a lot of space to park.
Breakfast was amazing, didn't expect this quality in a small town. The scrambled eggs were soft and creamy, best I've had in a long time.. sausages were good, bread and other such things were very fresh.
Everything was perfect and as described.
Check in was so easy and the location in the heart of the city is simply perfect.

The room was dirty and had small towels and terrible beds you couldn't sleep on. It smelled like smoke and the bathroom smelled musty and wet- I had to air it out. My parents were supposed to stay here but it was in bad condition and I did not feel comfortable with them staying there. We had a reservation for 3 nights but didn't stay there for ANY night or time but they would not give me my money back even though I didn't stay in hotel.
It was my second stay at Hotel Algar, and each time I'm greeted with welcoming customer service, a clean and tidy room, and a pleasant atmosphere of the hotel. The owner and manager are super friendly and go out of their way to make sure we have the best experience. Very much recommended, 10/10!
The apartment was excellent and ideally located in the centre of Opava. Very comfortable with a realistic charge for dogs versus most places we checked prior to booking. The crib provided was perfect and got the thumbs up from our little one. Breakfast was also great with a wide selection.
Private parking, courteous staff, swift check in, restaurant on site (for my preference others were farther away to walk, or needed to use a car), clean and a nice size room for European standards. Close proximity and easy access to downtown and major roads.
The location is right next to the city centre, the room was cosy, all new, clean and everything. I got all I needed for my work time and the rest I needed after a long day. I will definitely be accommodating here again when I'm in Opava.
excellent! Just great hospitality. the kiosk system worked perfect. I was very satisfied by the variety of the products in the breakfast. The hotel is near the bus stops and near restaurants and shops.
Breakfast was good. Coffee in room was mixed mixed with dry milk. Not a big deal. Friendly staff.
Only negative is there is a smoking crowd in front of the hotel. Gets crowded when it rains.
Hotel has an excellent restaurant. We had a lunch and dinner and meals were very delicious. Absolutely amazing are smoked ribs. Rooms are clean with comfy beds. Private parking on site.
