The location and the hotel are very picturesque and is also ideal for solo travellers. Asked for a room at the top floor and the stuff were very polite and cooperative.

The hotel is rated 4 star and I would say it is getting the 4 star on facilities . It is very tired and in need of serious maintenance and upliftment . In its heyday of 1950 it probably was fantastic . Compared to other 4 star hotels it is falling behind standards. But it has a wonderful location

Platres is a lovely moiuntain village with a good mix of restaurants, bars and relaxtion points, Great for starting mountain walks or just kicking back in the village,
We would also highly recommend the chocolate workshop experience at Cyprus Chocolates. Educational and informative with a passionate host in Eugene.
You get to try all different kinds of chocolates and there's no obligation to buy. Though I'm defy anyone to leave without picking up a little treat. :)

Deep woods. Very cool temperature - chilly at night.
Deep woods. Very cool temperature - chilly at night. Nightingales in May-June. Small waterfalls, very nice walks through the woods. Lavender activities. Beautiful early XXth century architecture, typical only in Platres. Red bricks, turrets and pinnacles. Nice tavernas. Nice small kids playground in the village centre. Perfect for a quiet, cosy trip.

Having a terrace overlooking the mountain , in the center of Platres but very quiet as well was a real blessing. The host mr Polydoros , was very nice , friendly and checking out if we needed something else. It was Cyprus hospitality at its best.
Hotel is in a lovely renovated old building with character. It is in a beautiful location in Platres for Troodos holiday. Room was comfortable and warm despite the cool weather. Staff was friendly and very accomodating. Breakfast was excellent and the coffee served best we had in Cyprus. Also the dinners we had in the hotel’s Kings and Poets restaurant were fantastic. True hidden gem and we felt really spoiled with private service as we were the only customers in the hotel at the time of our visit.
Good location. Nice hotel.
Restaurant was good .
As we arrived we saw Russian flag outside the hotel together with Cyprus and EU flags.
We didnt like the fact that anyone support russia these days ( specially when my wife is Ukrainian).
We complained and wanted to leave but the manager of the hotel came to us and apologise and imediately sent someone to take the flag down.
We really apreciated this.
Thx. 🙏 for the sensitivity.
A wonderful and cozy cottage. We were delighted with its compactness. Well-equipped kitchen, comfortable shower. We only missed towel racks in the bathroom. The beds were comfortable. Really great cottages. Very nice area. There's a bunch of cats on the resort who are fond of treats – luckily we had a supply of treats for the cats. There are a lot of stray cats in Cyprus, so it's worth stocking up on cat snacks from Lidl.
This hotel is amazing,, everything is perfect,, the staff are so so friendly 😍 really we went many hotels in many countries but this hotel is the best ,, the hotel deserves 5 stars ⭐️ .. We will back to the hotel as soon as possible because we felt satisfied and comfortable,, I will recommend to my family and my friends to book in this hotel 🙏🏻❤️😍
We liked everything about the hotel, the area, the staff etc!! This is indeed an old hotel but the staff, service and location make up for the age of the hotel. It was absolutely interesting to see the old cars in the small car museum and learn a bit about the hotel’s history! I would definitely visit again !
The family that owned the inn was excellent. They were all so kind. I loved the breakfast and the location. My room was perfect. This was a safe place for solo female travelers. And there was close access to public transportation, as I did not rent a car while in Cyprus. Great hiking nearby.
I liked all of it. We came on Monday the quietest day of the week. Stayed until Tuesday. If possible we would have stayed longer. Get away from the beach and have a look on Cyprus. It is a lot more then Limassol and Larnaca.
The accommodation meets my expectations. The service ist perfect. Every time you had some small problem in the accommodation, it was quickly fixed.
The location is perfect if you want to visit the Cyprus mountains.
Both breakfast and dinner were excellent. Large traditional house with period furniture, featuring a bath (good for a long soak after a hard walk). Quiet location but quite close to the centre of Platres.
One of the very few hotels in Cyprus, Platres especially, that allow pets.
We also liked the fact that there was hot water any time during the day or night, as well as high water pressure in the shower.
Very cozy and clean apartment in the heart of Pano Platres! Everything was perfect! Polys was very helpful and the whole stay was pleasant and smooth! Highly recommended!
We live in Cyprus and took our toddler to play in the snow so perfect location. Stayed there before in the Summer and it's a very pleasant well located family hotel!
Amazing location and lots of character in the design of the hotel. Even though it is an old building, everything works perfectly. The breakfast is also very good!
A dream house in the mountains and the perfect view. We loved the location and bed was so comfy felt like a very nice hotel bed. We will definitely come back.
