I have stayed at the Library Hotel a number of times and feel instantly at home here. Unlike the larger hotel, this is like being in Cyprus with traditional decorated rooms, a gorgeous courtyard and within a few yards of the village centre with its tavernas.
I particularly recommend the hotel for lone female visitors.
A 5-minute drive from Governors beach, Kalavasos View Traditional Apartments is set amidst a garden of lemon and tangerine trees in Kalavasos Village.

The village is really quaint and lovely to walk around. Some lovely Taverna's with great food. The property owners were friendly and very helpful and replaced some things which had gone missing, like the 2 pin plug adapters for the TV and kettle.

The property was very clean, warm for winter and spacious for everyone. We really like that it was a traditional house indeed an "arhontiko" and easy to locate it in the village. The apartment had all the facilities and amenities. There is a large common space within the property, it's ideal for a group of people. The owner was very friendly and responded fast to our messages. I would definitely recommend this accommodation. It's a property value for money. There are also lots of options around this area for hiking, wineries and traditional food.
To Konatzi tou Flokka is a renovated 19th-century farmhouse located in Agios Theodoros village. It offers traditional accommodation with kitchen and it is a 5-minute drive away from the beach.
Small but very clean and beautiful village. Pleasant to walk about. Great restaurant, Retro, good quality, fair prices. Village square offers a nice cafe at very reasonable prices. Surrounded by other small villages and the beach is very near. Cooler in the summer, warmer in the winter because of its position between the mountains.

I love the village of Kalavasos as it is a traditional...
I love the village of Kalavasos as it is a traditional Cyrpus village that is not too touristy. Their are so many things you can do in the surrounding areas. Amazing villages to visit and local honey farms and architectural digging sites and ruins to visit. You would at least three days to appreciate everything available to you in and in the surrounds of this village.

Kalavasos is one of a small number of beautiful old villages...
Kalavasos is one of a small number of beautiful old villages that lie between Larnaca and Limassol. It is only a few minutes from the main road but very quiet with an excellent local tavern, coffee shop and restaurant. There is a well stocked supermarket. In addition to the many apartments available to rent, the Library Hotel is excellent. Walks of various lengths can be taken from the hotel or by driving to nearby villages like Tochni or Choirokoitia. It is a short drive to the coast but be aware that there is a large, unsightly power complex between Governer's Beach and Zygi. So, for scenic seaside locations you need to drive further away.

The people of Kalavasos are all very friendly.
The people of Kalavasos are all very friendly. We had a lovely experience with everyone we met. The village is traditional and offers 2 restaurants (dine in or take out), cafe and mini market all within walking distance. It was quiet, relaxing and the location was excellent for staying at the holiday apartment with everything we needed within walking distance, but it was also conveniently located close to the sea (10-15 min drive) and excellent fish restaurants. Overall it was a great experience and my family and I will definitely visit again.
Super accommodation, totally nicely decorated and a very cozy atmosphere. The owners are super nice and helpful. Breakfast was always homemade and very tasty. For parting we even got traditional sweets on the way. We liked the village of Kalavasos the best of all the places we have been to. The Goveneur's Beach nearby is quickly accessible and very beautiful! In general, you can visit many beautiful sights from here. We would stay here again next time, the village had such a nice laid back vibe.
Amazing place! Wonderful view to the mountins from the pool. I didnt want to move from this place! Helpful host. There were all the things what you need. Beautiful terrace! Everey day us visited friedly cats. And the old style house.... amazing. Quiet and peaceful.
There is small market in the village, works till 15.00. Ant there are 3 lokal tavers, we had very good dinner.
It was the best time and experience in Cyprus.

We had previously stayed at this hotel and rated it much higher than this time; however, although not a disaster, we were disappointed this time. (More in next section).
We did like all of the staff who, like on our previous visit, were very friendly and apologetic for the 'problems' we encountered.
The number of different types of spas available are very good.
The room has high ceilings and is quaint. The bathroom was well equipped and roomy. The room was clean and accommodated our 2 suitcases. This was our first stop in Cyprus and it left us with a very good impression. The breakfast was very good and abundant. Easy to find in the centre of the village. Walking distance to restaurants for dinner.
Kalavasos is a village off the beaten track so if that's what you're looking for then it's great. Really picturesque little village with very friendly locals. Nice views from the hotpool and communal balcony area. Easy walk down to one of the village's few restaurants (all have good food).
This is the best place in Kalavasos. Location, service, rooms, pool. In the rooms, everything is thought out to the smallest detail, so that the guest receives maximum comfort. Many thanks to Andreas and Simonyi. They are the best.
Great place with beatiful view. Host is very kind and good person. We was treated very well. Kalavasos is perfect choice if You want to travel around the Cyprus and feel the climate of an Island.

Thanks to the cottage and owner we were able to feel and taste the real, local Cyprus. We really recommend to choose Charalamboss Holiday Cottage instead of crowded hotels in Ayia Napa.
Great place! Highly recommended. Nice host, nice apartment in old, made by stone building, clean, swimming pool on the roof was great. You can feel good Cyprus vibes in that place :)
