We were just transiting and Lafayette fulfilled our expectations. It is close to the airport, clean and quiet. The staff is very friendly and they tool care of transport to/from the airport. Very convenient. Breakfast was great.

The Host was miserable and rude.. The breakfast was crap.. uncooked egg and two slices of cheap white bread, She couldn't wait to kick me out in the morning.. I was made to feel unwelcome and also overcharged.. Booking,com stated the price and the owner demanded about £8 more than the price I expected to pay on Booking,com.. Also although very close to airport the Bstd taxis all refused to take me for less than 7 Euros !!

I go to Sal sometimes and it's one of the best if not the best place i stayed in Espargos! Clean and comfortable space. Quiet place and you have lots of restaurants, bars, etc around the area...you can go by walking and it's near! Really good host as well!

Espargos is a good place to stay to reach the Blue Eye Cave, Shark Bay and Pedro da Lume, but I thought it would be cheaper to get to those places by taxi. Overall not much to do in the city itself, but I didnt want to miss the island’s capital. Not as touristy as Santa Maria, you can stroll the streets without being bothered, I felt safe, very friendly propeople as everywhere on Sal .
