Beautiful location, so relaxing to have the ocean breeze sway you in a hammock. I scuba dive and the onsite dive shop was a dream.

Absolutely incredible spot. Crystal clear water (albeit some trash below the waves), relaxing in cabanas with great food and drink, and exploring the island (don't miss village life in Orika). The bioluminscent tour was truly memorable, as were the otherworldly mangroves and exploring other islands nearby with Luis Filipe (fantastic tour guide; highly recommend!).
Loved the quiet and elegant boutique hotel vibe. The hotel was full of really lovely interesting guests and the staff were really welcoming and attentive.
We loved our stay there as quiet interlude to the fast pace of Cartagena.
If you're looking for party vibe then Coralina is not for you (head to Bora Bora). If you're looking for beautiful island shabby-chic luxury then Coralina is perfect.

Incredible place to rest, away from the tiresome sellspeople that crowd Playa Blanca and Barú offering from massages to wrist bands. Here you can actually REST, and do whatever you want to do, snorkeling, kayaking reading. Even work, if you must, the wifi connection was great at the hostel we stayed.
You can easily walk the island or do a round trip vía Kayak (3-4 hours aprox). The Mangle are really beautiful and that's a nice tour to have. The little village of Orika (1500 ppl) is really nice and peple are very kind with tourists. There were 2-3 restaurants that I can remember, but none looked tempting so we stayed with the Hostel restaurant for health sake. No need to improvise. :)
It's a small island perfect for introspection and sea sports as mentioned before. I'd say it's a mandatory visit if you go to Cartagena (hey, you can even sacrifice Playa Blanca without loosing too much, if you must prune a few days of your stay), but definitely try to visit the island. We travelled with 3 kids aged 16, 13 and 12. and 3 nights at the hostel hit the spot for them. More would have been a little too much for them.

This is the furthest island and honestly there’s nothing to do here. Specifically at this hotel, there was only two lawn chairs where the sun actually reached and the rest were always in the shade. And the two that were in sun were always occupied. The one time we did get to sit in them, the dock it’s on was not sturdy or secure. In fact the board under the chair broke as my friend was laying in it!! And the chair leg went towards the water.
The hotel itself had no beach so you had to walk 20 minutes to get there and it was not easily accessible by any means. All the other beaches were private and you had to pay for.
They offered theee excursions - I can’t speak to one. But the other two were scams.

It felt really remote but with everything you needed (be prepared, no A/C.
The Caipirinhas are FANTASTIC how they make them.
Kayaks pull up with cocktails from outside vendors. Adds a fun element.
Most nights they offered something to do after the day trippers left.

This is an island that is completely run for the profits of the beach resorts who cater almost exclusively to the day-trippers from Cartagena. This means that if you are not in one of these resorts your access to much of the island is restricted. For the most part, there are no evident access points into the interior of the island from these resorts and we found ourselves entering through service entrances to try to get the coast, or a bar and were often found trespassing. Some of these resorts are more welcoming than others and some charge an entry fee for non-guests. However, many of these resorts don't seem to have overnight guests and, therefore, shut up shop after 4pm so there is little-to-no evening activity on the island (and no street lights, so make sure to have a torch with you)
There are some fun and interesting activities to do on the island - enough to fill a day, but the limited access when staying there meant that we were very ready to leave after two nights.

Great for relaxing.
Great for relaxing. Warning to all those who love the ubiquitous and annoying Colombian music - no music is allowed in any part of Coralina Island! You will enjoy the silence, the sound of the sea waves and the chirping of the birds.
The owner of the hotel, a French-Colombian named Pierre, is a wonderful person. Thanks to him, his kind nature and willingness, we felt like we were visiting a good friend or family member. Barbora, a Czech living in Colombia.
The weather and beach were absolutely gorgeous and the (sea)food was fresh and delicious. There were plenty of activities if you are adventurous (snorkeling, bioluminescent plankton, island tour, fishing, etc). The staff (Lionel, Daniel, Kayla, Andrea, Christian, and others) are very friendly and went out of their way to make the stay pleasant and enjoyable. We left behind some items on the island, and Lionel, Andrea, and Christian had them delivered to us before we lelft Cartagena. Overall, we are very happy with our stay on the island.
This is a very basic accomodation.
It is an Eco Hotel which is run by a local couple - Folbert and Ingrid.
They are fabulous hosts.
Ingrid always with a smile, makes exceptional diversified meals.
Folbert is a real master for whatever goes on on the Island. We booked all of our tours with him personally, he took us on full day tours to hidden place amoung the islands at very reasonable prices.
It was a very authentic experience. It makes no sense to spend time on the Islands in a luxury resort. It really misses the point
Edgar and his family are so lovely!! We had such a peaceful stay with them in their place. We had the best food of our trip here. Every single meal was incredible. So fresh, tasty and quick. Our bed was really comfy and we loved chilling on the hammocks. It was so tranquil and peaceful and the beach is only 5 mins walk away. I would recommend trying to get an early boat back to Cartagena as we got absolutely soaked in rough weather when we got it in the afternoon haha.
Excellent stay. Friendly and hospitable staff. The food was delicious and generous portion sizes. We only stayed a night as we spent most of our time on Cartagena, I wish we had stayed longer! Hotel Coralina offers a few excursions around the island. You can also snorkel right of some of the docks. The host Pierre made sure to check on us and see to it that we were enjoying our stay. Overall it was a very relaxing and wonderful stay.
Fantastic place to stay at for a few days. Nice clean bungalows with beautiful view of the sea. Clean and cute beach with great food and drinks. The wifi was reliable and the staff was also very friendly. The hotel offers nice day trips around the island for snorkeling and diving. Just what we needed to finish off our trip to Colombia, 2 days of rest and relaxation in amazing surroundings.
Overall this is a good hotel. The room is comfortable and spacious. I felt the hotel didn't live to the hype however, the beach was nice but not amazing, the food is underwhelming for a hotel of this standing. Staff is great. I feel you can find way better experiences in Isla grande or the surrounding much cheaper. Overall Gente de Mar is very expensive for what it is.
Really beautiful hotel at the beach. Loved the views and the food. The staff were all really nice. The beaches are small but there's plenty of day beds, and the day visitors are only around for a few hours. We enjoyed hearing about the conservation efforts going on, hopefully they're successful!
The location is definitely the star of this hotel. Beautiful calm water, not a huge sandy beach area, but a small one just to the side that is easily accessible. The staff are also incredibly friendly, shout out to the waiter Joseph who was running around the whole time.
the rooms are very comfortable and clean, service was amazing with really kind and caring staff. there were nice areas to relax around the hotel and the lounge music at dinner time was the perfect way to end the day! we particularly enjoyed the fish at dinner
This is a great hostel on Isla Grande, really relaxed and the family who run it are very lovely. The location is excellent and it was very good value for money. The mosquitos make it a little uncomfortable but nothing they can do about that!
Attention to detail is what sets this hotel apart from the rest. The room was pleasant, with a small private beach in front, there are also several activities to do throughout the day, I wish I had stayed a day longer. It's great to rest!
Isla Grande is amazing- and the staff are even better. There are also sooo many options for activities which i loved. It was fun to walk through the local village to get to other beaches as the Secreto beach isn’t amazing.
great location. hotel provided boat to and from. had a pool, had a very nice ocean access, however know it’s not a beach, but I didn’t mind. very beautiful gardens and a restaurant. the room was nice, as nice as expected.
I fall in love with the Island and hotel, good to get rest and relax. I extended one more night. You can use kayak for free. Breakfast is delicious. Staff super friendly, attentive and helpful.
I want to go back again.
Good things about this hotel,
-great food, quality, portion size & value.
-the beach area is lovely and nice area to relax by the seaside
-lots of animals and can snorkel along the front of the hotel too
Wonderful Eco hotel located in a great area of Isla Grande. The staff are so lovely and helpful and the rooms are extra large with a huge bed and clean. Highly recommend the property!
Beautiful location.
The staff are an asset to the hotel - attentive and welcoming.
Relaxing
Pick up and drop off were arranged very well.
Room had great views
The hotel is nice but very bare, with simple accomodations. People are nice, and the rooms are clean. The beach is very nice, actually the best on the island.
