Jack is so helpful, and so is his father and brother. They go out of their way to help you with anything you need and make sure you’re happy. Jack helped us to book tickets to the national park and other attractions and his father and brother often drove us places we wanted to go, which was very generous. The property is a little old, but it is has everything you need - comfortable beds, a private bathroom, air conditioning, etc. all in all, a great stay!

The room was clean and nice, the water pressure is great and the soundproofing is good. The staff were also very nice and helpful. The entrance gate to Yangjiajie is 5mins away by walk from the hostel.
The food at the hostel is good too, I recommend the Iron Plate beef. For breakfast you can choose between a more typical chinese breakfast and a western style one.
They give you a map and help with the itinerary, they speak English so no worries.

We had a truly wonderful stay in Yuelu homestay.
The homestay is conveniently located at 5 minutes’ walk from the South gate of Yuanjiajie entrance of the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.
The place has been beautifully renovated with traditional touch and is equipped with modern amenities.
Merry took care of all details of our needs during our 5 days’ stay by arranging for transportation, entrance ticket purchase of Zhangjiajie and Tianmen Shan, as well as taking care of our laundry and upgrading one room without extra charge.
Merry also provided us with queue-free itinerary in Zhangjiajie park thanks to her knowledge as a former employee of the forest park.
Clean and comfortable room.
We had 3 delicious dinners cooked by Merry and her team, with most of the vegetables grown at the garden of the homestay.

The location is top notch! Basically 10 minutes to the mountain gate on food! And you can see mountains from the inner courtyard too, which in itself is lovely. Breakfast is pretty varied, we loved it. The room is comfortable and clean.

I booked here because it is close to both wulinghuan scenic area and zhangjiajie grand canyon. Jack is the man. He was brilliant. He and his brother came and picked me up from the train station, sorted out all of my tickets. Also helped me to buy some new shoes in wulinghuan when mine broke. A really amazing place to stay if you are foreigners visiting the area and need some help with getting around and local expertise. Jack's dad was also a great guy and offered me some tea. Very nice place, great location to explore the zhangjiajie national forest park (avatar mountains) from. Jack is super helpful and his father even brought us to the national park entrance for free (which is about 5 minutes away by car).
It is a cozy hotel of a family very kindly gave us all information. Son speaks english and get tickets for us. Father took us to park early morning and to bus station for evening.
Mother have very good masaje.
