The room was clean and nice, the water pressure is great and the soundproofing is good. The staff were also very nice and helpful. The entrance gate to Yangjiajie is 5mins away by walk from the hostel. The food at the hostel is good too, I recommend the Iron Plate beef. For breakfast you can choose between a more typical chinese breakfast and a western style one. They give you a map and help with the itinerary, they speak English so no worries. There's a pool. I had a really nice stay and would definitely recommend this hostel.

We had a truly wonderful stay in Yuelu homestay. The homestay is conveniently located at 5 minutes’ walk from the South gate of Yuanjiajie entrance of the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. The place has been beautifully renovated with traditional touch and is equipped with modern amenities. Merry took care of all details of our needs during our 5 days’ stay by arranging for transportation, entrance ticket purchase of Zhangjiajie and Tianmen Shan, as well as taking care of our laundry and upgrading one room without extra charge. Merry also provided us with queue-free itinerary in Zhangjiajie park thanks to her knowledge as a former employee of the forest park. Clean and comfortable room. We had 3 delicious dinners cooked by Merry and her team, with most of the vegetables grown at the garden of the homestay. Everything was perfect during our stay. Bravo to Merry and her team !

Accommodation: In the valley,on the side is the national forest park.pleasant homestay in the mountain forest,traditional and modern accommdation Geographical location:it is 200 meters away from the west gate of the zhangjiajie national forest park Transport for our homestay:have free shuttle service for west gate of national forest park,however,the high-speed rail station and the airport are an hour`s drive away, homestay arrangement a 7-seat business luxury car,the price is also reasonable. About the food: the free breakfast was a nice mix of chinese and western styles. About lunch and dinner,in the kitchen of an open garden.there are neat vegetable fields beside it. So we are eating in such an environment ,this is the most unforgettable experience. About our tour of zhangjiajie national forest park:the owner of the homestay was very patient to help us guide the three-day tour of zhangjiajie national forest park. She was very attentive and help us solve many problems Other aspects:the owner of the homestay is probably the most beautiful chinese i have ever met. All in all ,A memorable trip in china ,

This guesthouse is an absolute GEM.It is run by a lovely family ,who are all very welcoming and friendly.Carol speaks good English and gives excellent advice about the activities in the area .We loved being there and were very sad to leave. Carol organised taxis ,park entry tickets for us, and accomodation at our next destination.I cannot recommend Tongfu enough.We ate breakfast and dinner there too and the meals were tasty and fresh.

The hosts really stood out and were super helpful in creating daily itineraries with us and giving us recommendations. We always had the feeling that we were very well cared for, also while we were exploring the park, as they were always reachable via WeChat and responded swiftly. They made us feel very welcome and even included us in a family birthday party on the premises. We sang karaoke together by the pool and had the best time. Not to forget, the sunlit mountain view from the pool or during dinner were amazing. Thank you so much for hosting us!

Amazing place made even more amazing by the staff. A service team is assigned to every guest upon arrival. Frankie was the person assigned to me and helped me so so so much during my stay. I am a person that has a poor sense of direction so let's just say i needed help to find my way in the park. A couple of pictures later and Frankie knew where I am and had suggestions on how to find my way. Overall, a fantastic experience for me.
