The staff were very helpful and tried their best to communicate with me despite not speaking English. One staff member helped me find a taxi at the end my trip here as my taxi apps weren't working. The room was lovely and the hotel itself felt very traditional which gave it a good vibe.

As soon as we arrived at the property, Xiang greeted us and helped us with our luggage. He doesn’t speak any English and we don’t speak any Mandarin, but that was no problem for Xiang as he has a great system. The first thing he does is sit you down in the reception area, adds you WeChat and voice dictates messages to you through the app, which he then shows you how to enable automatic translations for, so it’s as though you’re having an everyday conversation. Brilliant! This was super handy to have set up for the rest of the time we were there too. He then took the time show us a huge map of the city and point out all the best things for tourists to see, as well as recommendations for good restaurants. He was so attentive the whole time we were there and was always very kind. He also gave us fresh bananas and other fruit every day! The room was great! We had a balcony with a view of the river, which was stunning! The room was clean with a comfortable bed, great air conditioning and a clean private bathroom. Everything here was great! We loved our stay! Thank you Xiang!

Girl in hotel was very friendly and helpful. She helped us with transfer from railway station. We came late in the evening and she told everything about old town and gave a map. Also she recommended some places, where we can eat and buy local tea. There was ine moment, when we lost one location, she found us and helped.

Great location to explore the old town and yet not in a crowded area. Also conveniently located a 3min walk from the bus stop connecting to the train station. The hosts were incredibly helpful with helping organizing our activities and English speakers.

The location is nice although not of hotels with similarly good locations and views and not on top of a very loud bars (although it closes at 11:30pm). The staff were very helpful arranging pick up and drop off to the train station etc.
