1. I had booked and paid for a room for a week in Jan. 2020. Then Covid-19 broke out, and my flight was canceled. I informed the hotel of my problem and unexpectedly got my refund shortly after.
2. I booked and received confirmation for a room for a week in March 2024. A day later I was informed that my credit card was invalid. This happened twice. The same card was used successfully to purchase two airline ticket a few minute earlier. So I called Visa Center that assured my card validity. This international call costed me over $40! When I mentioned this unpleasant experience, the front desk manager upgraded me to Club level room.
3. One day an elevator/lift I was riding on, with a few ladies, stoped suddenly and started dropping. The emergency button did not work. A bit scary. Fortunately after a few minutes, the ride resumed. After reporting the accident, the hotel sent me a fruit basket, and even gave me free breakfast.
All managers I met show they are caring professional. The staff are also very friendly and helpful.

Every meal was a feast!
Every meal was a feast! Three meals per day, 6 days in Haikou and never a repeat restaurant. We rode the train for 4 1/2 hours - roundtrip from East Haikou and back, visited all major parks along the ocean each morning and watched the seniors busying themselves to stay healthy, was @ a site compared to our Sea World in California, down south to Sanya, and several large shopping malls...even checked out a couple of Starbucks(which was quite expensive for just a cup of coffee).
Our original plan was 5 nites, but had to extend an additional night because CX cancel our original date of return to the States and request we leave Haaikou a day earlier than planned. We didn't want to loose our prepaid night w/Booking,com & there's NO refund for early check out. Instead we opt to stay the extra night. We will check w/CX to see if they would cover the cost or share part of the expense for the night.

The staff speak English!!!. Rooms are big and clean. Shower has hot water and shampoo and shower gel. Toilet was clean and cleaned everyday. Beds are comfortable with reading lamp, plug and curtains. Also there is a mosquito net in the bed which I found very usufull because there are a lot of mosquitos in Hainan Island. Big common area with pool table and books. Also nice garden outside. Staff also helped me to find a place to do the COVID test in Haikou and to take a bus to the airport.
Spent one night here on our first day at Haikou. Check in was smooth and fast. The room was spacious and nice sea view. I liked the breakfast here with its variety. Staff were polite and tried to assist us with our enquiries.
Hot spring pool was small and we dipped our feet in for the fish spa. Life guards were polite and helpful.
There is a night market nearby with a cab's ride. Overall pleasant stay.
Communicated with the Staff, was told to take a Taxi and they were reimburse the Taxi fare. Taxi Gps brought us to the Hotel next to the ABnB instead. In the confusion, contacted the ABnB staff Ms Chong, and she personally came down to the place to guide us to the ABnB, therafter check in and got our room within half hours. Excellent service. She reimburse the Taxi fare without further questioning.
Stylish hotel with comfortable facilities. Breakfast is excellent, with a very wide range of foods available.
Staff are very attentive and helpful. On arriving home, I realised I had forgotten my electric toothbrush. With one call to the customer service desk, a helpful and friendly staff member was able to find the item and send it to me by courier. Thank you Aurora, truly five star service.
There's a big mall there, and you can find many restaurants in this town. Easy to get a bus to city center.

Had a fantastic stay in Langham haikou, classical and elegant inner deco with soothing background music and nice atmosphere, the room is exceptionally lovable and comfortable , facing botanical garden and unbeatable sea-view , spa is also highly recommended ! Located so close to the airport. The buffet breakfast was mostly fresh local food with very little processed foods like boxed breakfast cereal. The entire hotel has a very relaxed atmosphere. My Chinese wife was particularly impressed. Extremely helpful management staff with respect to myself not being fluent in Chinese.
Great location, just a short walk to HCC, where there are lots of food options. Staff were very helpful and polite, and helped to book airport transfer. Room was spacious and comfortable, but do note that you would need to top up 80 RMB per day to rent crockery if you want to use the in-room kitchen.
The location is ideal, as it is only a 5-minute walk from the airport. Moreover, the hotel is situated within the airport outlet shopping mall, which features numerous stores and a complete food court. The food court is very convenient for quick and easy meals.
